Alright my Forum-Fu is not as great as everyone else's, but I think this would be a great song for the next Battle for Badlands Video

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=avUTaohfc3U

I have it playing in the background when I'm solo ganking mutant scum.

A lot of these are great. However the reason I traditionally stick to Scores & Soundtracks & Cinematic music is because almost everyone is predisposed to it. You go to the theatre and you dont complain about the background music. It's only when some Rap, Heavy Metal, Country, etc comes on that people start to bicker about music. The offshoots of the classical format tend to be very biased and one thing I've learned in Design is that if you want to get a design approved used dummy text in another language. If you put in english people will complain about the next by default and ignore the actual design all together. If I put in a song of heavy metal anyone who dislikes heavy metal will kill the vid before it even gets going. Same with rap, country, techno, jpop, etc. People judge the video on the music more than whats happening in the video. Classical Cinematic themes tend to fly regardless of a persons predisposition toward a certain type of music. In 300 did you hear any of the rappers complain about heavy metal rifts and undertones in the song? Nope thats cause the action took them and it was subtle enough to be overlooked. So in short thats why I usually go for the cinematic songs.

I always begin my night with Ozzy - Fire in the Sky http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v6oKiK1KhQs "The introduction to his heartache began as a child So it's no wonder that he grew up to be so wild So he protected his feelings in walls he imagined But castles crumble, exposing the frightened child Fire in the sky Can't you see that all my castles are burning? Fire in the sky Won't you help me now, my castles are burning"
