Yeah Bashir is using IE6... poor guy. Upgrading to 7 or 8 I recommend skipping 7 its a pile of poo. Well 6 was a pile of poo too so thats not sayin much. But by god 8 actually conforms to the W3C Web Standards. Whoa Microsoft actually obeying the "Standards" wow. Since 8 the forecast in web development looks nice. No longer having to program a IE version of your site and a version for everyone else. Opera, Firefox, Safari, Flock, etc should look fine. The issue is mainly that IE 6 cant understand alpha(Transparencies) channels in .png files. And being our site is heavy on the PNG's the default color for transparent is baby blue. Which makes reading white and yellow impossible. Heres what it should look like
If your browser doesnt show headlines like that its time to consider updating. PNG files have been widely used for about 4 years now. As JPG requires a license to automatically create images, and .gif is limited to 256 colors. PNG allows for anti-aliased transparencies with varying alpha levels. in other words I can do highlights/shadows over any texture or color on the fly.
