Technical Problems (locked out of the game)

After a year and a half of problem free play, I seem to have my first major technical problem, and I'm hoping someone can offer some advice.

Big T4 event, everything is fine, everything is normal.
I log in the next night, I can't even get into the game. No unusual web browsing, no viruses.

Step 1. I try to load the game.
Enter login and password, etc, everything seems fine up until the blank character screen and the "Locating Battles..." message, at which point the game appears to lock up (can't even use the "Cinematic" button). After manually returning to the desktop, I have a little box on the screen saying "Authentication Failed".

Step 2. Investigate.
* I Search the Mythic Forums for a similar issue, no luck, but the official forums are working fine.
* I Try to ask for help in the official forums, but the login page refuses to load. I can't even attempt to log into the site.
* I attempt to access my account in case the issue is there (I heard Mythic blocked some accounts to protect them after the billing disaster for players to manually reactivate when their subscription expires), but like the login page, the Account Management page will not load.
* I log in to vent while there are still people awake and playing. I can hear Talisaan and others in-game doing some PvE runs, so conclude the game itself is running fine.
* I check all my usual websites, and restart my modem for good measure - the Official WAR website seems to be the only issue.
* I run my wife through the same process (seperate computer, seperate account, same modem), with almost the same results. No access to game. She was able to access her account though (it didn't download fully, but she was able to see enough to see there was nothing wrong with her account).


At this point I'm not sure what the issue is and whether it is something that will resolve itself (ie, Mythic's problem) or I need to resolve it at my end. Given that I am in Australia, a phonecall is more or less a last resort (After American and Australian Daylight savings, I'm asleep during American buisness hours... plus there's the cost).

Try clearing all the files in the Cache. Doubt that is all that is wrong. Might want to call Mythic asap just in case something went wrong with your acound. My advise is use Skype to save on the cost.

Quick update. Still sorting out bugs, but my wife and I are getting closer to tracking down the problem. At this point I am confident that the problem is at my end, so that has taken alot of the stress out of the situation (don't have to worry about the possibility of my account being hacked). By removing the router between our computers from the equation, I was able to successfully log into the game for the start of the Tier 2 run, and gain access to my characters and account. Unfortunately while the game and website issues were temporarily solved, I started having issues with Ventrilo (appologies to everyone on vent for my constant logging in and out as I tested things). A brand new router has (along with a replacement of the cable) so far duplicated the same issues, so we are now replacing the Modem, which our ISP was long overdue to replace for us years ago. Keeping my fingers crossed.

UPDATE - I'm back baby! True to most complicated technical problems in my experience, after a couple more days of exhausting almost every possibility we could come up with to track down and solve the problem, it has suddenly decided to solve itself, leaving us none the wiser to either the cause or solution (my suspicion falls squarely on my ISP). At any rate, things are back to working as intended, and I need no longer fear the repercussions of needing to deny my wife access to the game or internet anytime I play (assuming the issue doesn't return). See you guys back in game.
