Order vs Destro

So, a bit concerned about balance since the Ostermark merger. Guess some guilds are calling it quits which will make things worse...I don't have any T4 chars so I can't say, but down here in T2 its been pretty bad lately, hasn't been a day that I logged on and not see every keep in T2 in red...except today as I think most of destro was on their T4 chars so we were having fun locking zones.

Thoughts?

Well i don't know for T2 but we were rocking earlier in T1. The balance in Ostermark was bad? Cause if it was well, it will becoming bad in our server. It's simple our server was proximatively 50/50 so it's easy to unbalance!

From what I understand quite a few order players on Ostermark had destro toons on PT, so when the migration happened they continued playing destro...a lot of destro guilds came over to PT, which couldn't be said for Ostermark order as quite a few went to the core server instead. Don't get me wrong, I love a good fight, but coming from REM, I can tell you its no fun to be out numbered all the time...Just wanted to see what other tier players are seeing out in the field :)

In T1 its hard to see any balance issues. Most people just rush through the scenarios with little time in RvR. Getting levels as fast as can be. Hence no real action to be had in T1. Then you hit T2 and its a 3:1 ratio, and unless you are running in a WB++ you are going to be struggling or avoiding the fight. Though even with the sheer outnumbering when they are that overwhelming the forces string out in the long run and you can take out the first 'rushers' in for a while. In BV we had a gay ole time after all the Players with T3/T4 toons went off to 'save Altdorf' [fine jorb btw] there was roughly a party+ left to take over the T2 Dwarflands and that was quite some fun, especially when a Destro WBx3 troupe came through and started to play. We hacked through probably a WB of the troupe just on the bridge in the front of the Keep and then pulled back into the keep when the ground turned red with their names. [always a troubling sight to not be able to see the ground through the corpses] Regretfully they plowed through the door and ourselves and of course shortly thereafter crash city started to happen and my even was done. But it was humorous, heck I even had a healer that would rez me more than once an assault. So I digress into saying as long as their is a somewhat decent group to play with even a little outnumbering is fine, as long as it is just enough that you can beat the concentration but can still destroy the stragglers. Of course when the stragglers are moving in a big enough concentration that they still roll you, then I have problems and es no gut.

We have a ratio of 4:1, destros favor on all Tiers at this time. Last night they managed to lock two zones (T4) with their massive Zergs... but when it comes to even numbers their brains crap out and they dont know how to do anything. Needless to say, inside Altdorf they got their asses handed back to them cos they were unable to Zerg us with outrageous numbers, so that just shows we are still the superior Realm /flex! My Two Cents :o> Cheers, Edana/Franciska

Having Helped with the defense of Altdorf last night, I must agree with Edana. They had the numbers but no brains. With the numbers they had they should have been able to Cap the city. To me it looked like they were focused more on killing players than actually taking the objectives in the city.

Saw a lot of that in war quarters...we'd get about half to 2/3rd of our numbers and hold them at the courtyard and play D, while the rest went to cap the other flags. I still don't know how the bomb thing works, but they lost every time on points alone, well, as much as possible before the server reset. They were realy, really intent on killing everything in sight, so much that allowed me to lead 4-6 of them right into griffin marksmen a few times hehe. Oh the look of surprise they must have when they turned around that corner every time...priceless... There seems to be a lot of coordination with T2 players on order side, we've had a lot of underdog fights that ended in our favor because people listen and execute :) The Dok defense last night for example I think were some extremely well played order defending 2+ WBs of destros. I rolled in for the last 15 minutes to wreck havoc on their lines from behind, they kept chasing me after I'd fiery blast them on the stairs from the keep door a couple times, and I'd fire cage them as they get to or just out of the keep door and whoever was manning the oil must of gotten a couple dozen kills from that alone...then I'd do my suicide runs and SE spam with lingering fire + endless knowledge (hehe conflag specced too, with +2 levels from oblit set with 570int at lv20)...at one point someone finally rezzed me and I made it into the lords room and just continued to light them up. The heals were amazing as I stopped dying when I made it into lord's room. I'd do a DFA and drop from the ledge right into their midst in the middle of the stairs, SE spam pick up a few KBs, run back up and still make it out alive...I have a measly 2700hp as I went all int with little +wounds, talk about awesome healing lol. 30KBs in 15mins with 4 deaths, I was in tears laughing at the screen, wife must of thought I was nuts. Anyway, its nice to see its not that much different at higher tiers :)

I am T2/T3 still. No T4. However I have noticed the shear numbers of destro in T1 to T2 overwhelming ours, yet, we still manage to cap BOs and Keeps and defend them against their shear numbers. Which gives a lot of credit to order. Escpecially when defeating the choppa buzzsaws in open ground and ramp RVR.

we're just going to have to think strategy more and choose our battles carefully. Attacking forces that big head up will result in loss every time. This is where we develop our flanking tactics, ambushes, and start using confusion and diversions as our main tactic. We as a family need to be ready to move as a whole on demand. Any waiting around will get us killed.
