Good afternoon friends/family! I just wanted to take the time to post this here so it could trickle down in game to people who just may "not have seen him around" in the future.
I've decided on my own to take a "leave of absence" from online gaming, both for personal and monetary reasons atm.
My wife and I have been talking about taking more time to get ourselves healthy, as well as the children of course, and how to get the extra money together to do so. She can get a $75 (as opposed to $125) a month family membership to the BIG YMCA around here through work witha bunch of free programs and such. So, shes cut back a few things monetarily and Im going to cut back my monthly $15 from online, as well as comcast internet gamer ($62/mth) to help facilitate that. Not to mention the time I WONT be in front of a computer, lol. Whether or not we really use it a lot is still to be seen, but I think if its there, we will.
Secondly, Ive been having a lot of "trouble" with my daughter with Aspergers and trying to learn how to deal with her better and the ways shes changing, or not changing. We want to get her into more involved programs like special soccer, special groups, etc during the week, and I think I want to get myself into one with other fathers. My wife is gonna try and work earlier in general to get to more things in the evening so we can do them together as a family.
Lastly, if any of you didn't know, I used to be a pretty active freelancer and wanting-to-become professional writer/scriptwriter. Ive pulled out a bit of my work and notes from years passed that I put aside for more pressing and necessary life changes, and its finally come a time I think where the dust has settled enough to force myself to do what I love to do and maybe make something of it again, but on a larger level. Id love to see myself sitting on a book jacket in Barnes&Noble by the time I hit 30, and there's only one way to accomplish that...;)
So, Im not leaving because anything is bad at all. I love playing and I love playing with you all, I just think its time to force a change upon myself. I know better than to just say "Meh, Ill cut back and only play on Tues and Thurs nite." That wont happen, lol.
