I wanted to start something new, something that would set us apart from every other "Guild" out there. While some realize this most do not. Running a guild is like running a Business. How people look at your business is how people will treat the employees that work for business. If the business has a negative reputation, the employees will get shoddy looks. If the company has a wonderful reputation they gain smiles of appreciation.

If you lead by reputation people will follow you to the ends of the earth. The biggest key to getting people to follow you is make them feel Accepted. Everyone from the time they are born, to the time they die wants to feel accepted. Babies crave the attention of their mothers, people long to have more money and power so they are accepted by their peers, the elderly make right with their God to be accepted into the afterlife. Almost every culture on the planet from the beginning of time has been based on Acceptance.

This being said what I have in mind, I would like to start posting the names and levels of characters you run across who go out of their way to help another person. Whether it be not killing chickens at our chicken fights, or a level 40 you spy rezing a lowbie on his way to a battle. Any time you see a person acting out of kindness I want you to post their name, age, and what they did here on the forum. By doing so I will personally send them an invitation to join us at our next Family Event as an honorary guest and make note of their kindness on broad chat. By doing this we will not only raise a good public image which rewards kindness and the values we hold so dear but we also will publicly show what we as a family are all about. In addition I believe that this will raise the desire of these people to join us in arms. We are already one of the most popular families on the server and I want to take it to the next level and bring the Gaiscioch up to the most well known and well liked family on our server. We must portray a friendly image to the public to help our numbers continue to rise as well as bring new alliances to our family. If I get enough people Participating in this idea I will add a new part of the site that you will be able to enter the information for FHP.

This list can now be viewed on the Heroes of the Realm section.

Let me know your thoughts on this.

Deidan 40 WH This gentleman commonly runs a sewer party group for R2 individuals interested in getting their T2 Dungeon Sets in Altdorf. He asks nothing of the persons joining, can solo all three dungeons in a few minutes each and holds fast to fair and generous rules regarding loot: Need what your class can use, if you salvage Greed all else, otherwise Pass. Granted this does allow for a healthy amount of salvage items to himself, but taking the time to gather up people as a group to allow for more set pieces is extraordinarily kind. The extra helping that brings this nom to light is the fact that if you did not get something he will also hand out Talismans crafted for you, not perms but at that rank its still nice. [P.S. This is a Great Idea for a guild event on those Leader types that need some salvaging materials and are high enough ranks, allows crafting time and chatting time]

I agree, dungeon raids make excellent chances to practice leading especially if your significantly higher than the dungeon rank. As do PQ raids. If your looking to get some practice leading and gaining the respect of the family this is a great way to do it.

I like it. How would we post these people? I ran into one last night that is deserving. Balladin KotBS 23. He was inviting soloists into his party for killing the Spy in Sigmar's Temple. He didn't have to invite anyone but he made sure that anyone that showed up to the fight was invited so they would get credit.

Argh I don't have names...have to keep tabs on them, are chat logs saved somewhere? There was a board + sword SM that sat around Badlands helping me fight off destros, him and I duo'd for 20 minutes killing this team of SH + 2 DoKs over and over (was playing Ariakan, BW + SM with no heals...I don't know how we kept winning, he was doing an awesome job keeping them off my back) and finally they gave up...and he stuck around until other Order folks showed up before he asked me "is it ok for me to leave? do you still need help?" I'll see if I can dig up his name... BTW I regularly answer calls for help in /1 or /2, whether if its a boss or help with PQ or destros, I don't know if that's what we're supposed to do, I'm just used to doing it. However I have been shying away from leading WBs for oRVR, no reason for that other than I can't devote 100% because of real life issues, namely baby and wife that causes me to go afk for minutes at a time too often. I do wanna lead some gunbad runs however...hehe I used to help out lowbies for hours with quests as a RDM in FFXI...boobo the RDM...used to post on IGN on times I would lead the quests/instances/genkais/etc and like anywhere from 20-100 people would show up, and I'd grab guildies that are available to help...maybe I'll start to do so again :)

Are we still doing this? Sounds like a fantastic idea and is a good way to advertise the guild.

Might help get some exposure if we post it on the official site. I personally send them in game emails saying thank you.
