Was curious if you all will be on vent late friday as a pre head start get together. I was thinking it would be easier to get in right when the servers opened if a handful of us were madly clicking log in at different times. I would like to be part of the guild founding that night and being on vent with you guys would be invaluable to coordinating this.
Can you record a Vent conversation? I bet Friday night's Vent conversation will be one to cherish, and listen to again and again.. filled with excitement and anticipation. Just like the days before Hanukkah or Christmas.
I'll be there, if anything so I don't have to press "log in" every 2 seconds.
I'll be on at 11 CST for the beginning of the 3 hour window. That's right, right? Wife and son will already be crashed out.
I'll probably be hanging on by a thread myself, but it's for a good cause.
Oh hey, is it going to still be Vent for sure? I heard something about Raidcall?
For recording I don't think there's a standard feature in Vent (don't have it installed on this laptop,) but you can record it with Audacity if nothing else. Audacity picks up everything so it would probably help to have it on a different machine running nothing other than Vent and Audacity so you don't get other sounds.
If no one else has a machine to spare I can install both on this machine and just let it record. I've got 244GB free so that should handle space requirements as long as I have somewhere to upload it to eventually. :)

I'll be there! I joined the family specifically for Sanctum of Rall and GW2!!! I actually took off work Monday and Tuesday to play so I'll be all over it! My rl family plays DnD friday nights so when we're finished I'll log on and at least go through character creation. I'll be AMPed up and ready to play! Can't wait!
I will probably be sitting in vent starting around 7pm (depending on what I decide to do) just to chat and hang out.

I'll be on obsessively trying to log on. I'll try not to accidentally hit the push to talk button in Raidcall so you won't hear me pleading to be allowed in.
I got problem with raidcall... From the internet monitor I found that it could not establish any connection to the raidcall server from my location... Maybe location IP does not support? So I think I have to find a way to get connect to the family in game after launch...

Sounds good! Since we're EST we'll be hanging out basically from 12pm EST to the 3am official window - and all about not having to spam that "log in" button every 10 minutes. ;D
Patchouli, I don't have the expertise to help you troubleshoot your RaidCall connectivity problems, but you might want to start a separate thread about it. I'm sure there are those in the family with the smarts to help you, but your issue is going to get lost and buried in this thread. The headphone/mic I ordered won't work (I only have a line in, not a mic in, and the mic is not powered), but I remembered that a couple of years ago someone gave me a really nice Samson podcasting (USB) mic. I'm about to try hooking it up and see if I can't yet have a voice in RaidCall come tonight's party. If not, my ears will still be there, at least. :)
Thank you, Tetharel. I have spent more than half day to solve the problem, and finally someone helped me asked the engineer in raidcall.tw. Then I was told that raidcall.us is still under some sort of closed test, so it is not open to some location of the world. The only thing I can do is to wait until they open to worldwide. So I will look for the family in the game chat tomorrow instead :)
Yep I'll be there! Already worked out with the wife that she'll get up with her kiddo tomorrow, and once I rouse from the late night launch party she'll get to make her characters and experience the game on Saturday. /excited!
Come partying with us from 9PM-12AM PST. We'll have a blast.
