Sanctum of Rall Meet & Greet + New Voice Software

There is a Meet & Greet hosted by Adult Content on Aug 22nd at 6PM CST or 4PM PST on C3 (voice comm software). If you would like to attend with me please feel free. I will try to create a Gaiscioch clan there so we can all link together.

Hello I am Dracosblood, one of the Guild leaders for the Adult Content Guild.  We have made Sanctum of Rall our home for Guild Wars 2.  We thought it would be a good idea to have a meeting for all Guilds who are interested in playing on Sanctum of Rall for their Homeworld. This meeting will be just an initial,  get to know each other for the Guilds, a place to talk and set up possible preliminary WvW plans. This meeting will be held on Wednesday (August 22nd) at 18:00 or 6 pm CST. 

We will be having the meeting on C3, installation link provided.

We will be having the meeting in the channel: Sanctum of Rall Tavern, you can search for it or we will provide a direct link, which we will provide at a later time.
We'd like to ask all who are planning on participating to please contact the posting individual,   stating who you are, what Guild you represent, and how many are going to attend.  We hope to see a great community develop for Sanctum of Rall!

Is C3 going to replace Ventrilo?

I'll try to make it by 4:30pm or so. 4pm itself is a bit too early, but I will make an effort to show up.

Sorry Ben, I will be in class and cannot attend. However, it seems more WvW focused so that shouldn't matter!

GaryC, The family will still be using Vent. C3 is for the meet and greet hosted by Adult Content and quite possibly used for "Alliance" chats later on (speculation on my part).

Just keeping an eye on new tech. Vent hasn't been updated in years. Sooner or later it will get replaced if it doesn't adapt. Mumble is already on its heels but there are some open source solutions.

I tried installing this C3 and just starting up, it started lagging my computer. Not quite the best first impression to get. Actually, as soon as I started it up, it kicked my kid and wife off our intranet and forced me to reboot my router heheheh I'm probably going to be at work during the meet and greet but figured I'd check it out and see what kind of options it provided :)

I like the program, it runs in the background and allows you to view the rooms without even joining the channel. I will try to attend.

Ben, please do not subject me to Mumble!!! My most hated voice comms ever from playing Tera with an Aussie guild. Just horrible quality compared with vent....it became my crusade, and now I am the anti-mumble!

I'll be attending. I havn't been around for long but I'd love to join in and hear some WvW ideas! :D

I was also going to attend the meet and great. I was poking around in the C3 program and it lookings pretty interesting. Edit: Also as a side note my virus software flagged the C3 download as potentially malicious. I think it was flagged because it's not a very common download in the community. I ran a full system scan just to be safe and nothing came up.
