I am done leading. I can't handle it right now due to life and how I feel. So basically I told the officers to decide who I throw lead to and I'm done. TODAY!

This is about me and how I can't handle much right now and nothing to do with anyone. The issues I am having have made me have issues with people at a level that should not occur.

I am done leading and one way or another someone else will be lead of GSCH by the end of the day.

I am sorry that you feel it necessary to do this. I respect your putting us ahead of yourself, and your never-ending efforts to make the guild a sucess.

I hope you can find a place to enjoy some gaming and feel healthy soon.

You will be missed.

Sorry you're dealing with difficult situations now Bris. It seems many left to go to the other Gaiscioch guild in BDO yesterday and this morning there are no officers logged on with GSCH. I had a feeling something was going on but remain clueless due to the fact that I'm mostly not on voice and mostly afk riding horses.

Well, here is one of the things - the more active 50 population is in Teaghlach and some people aren't in the mood to wait because they want fun now. That is fine and understandable. I've had enough of leading because it is like pulling teeth some days. Other days it seems to be okay.

Either way, I'm going to be playing this game for awhile. I just had enough of leading and going to go deal with RL more. When I get on the game I don't want to worry about trying to make people happy because I can't even make myself happy at the moment.

Fast-paced players working with slow-paced players was the glue that bound this group together.  If that's not what players want then I guess that's not how it will be anymore.

From reading the Discord wall, though, my perception is that this is the beginnig of Gaiscioch-in-Archeage-Part-2.  I am probably not the only individual with that perception.

The problem is these walls developers are building in their games. As long as there's a divide people will be divided. The only chance we have for survival is being united. With the number of people we have we'd have to run at a 4 day afk rotation to keep everyone involved and at that quick of a rate we'd see falloff from people who don't want to take the time to reup. Right now our biggest jinx in our armor is our own success. The more people we have the harder it becomes. With 2 rooms everyone thinks the other room is where the fun is. The grass is always greener on the other side.

Makes me think back to the old days of GW2 when Gaiscioch na Morrigan felt like the bastard stepchild, yet they were the more active and more populated of the two halves. It wasn't until we came up with the Rall idea and rotated whoevers been offline the longest to bring in whoevers online now that things started to get better. But that would mean GSCH would need to move to 1 day contracts and have an army of people renewing contracts every day. At first the rotation would be a 4 day rotation which would tick many off. We'd likely lose several members because of it. However in the end until alliance communication comes out this might be our best chance of survival. The split room with no communication is going to eat us alive. In the end we'll lose far more than we would if we did the 4 day rotation for a little bit while the dust settles and things stabilize. Maybe even see the birth of some alliance system that's allows us to stretch our legs and grow again.

That said, I'm leaving the decisions up to you the BDO leadership team as I'm no longer playing BDO often enough to have a say. I can tell you that in AION, this killed us all together, in RIFT it cut out our entire active player base and left our branch DOA, in Archeage it destroyed us. The 2 room approach without cross guild communication will eat us alive. Sooner or later it will destroy us. We must unify if we hope to survive. As long as animosity and resentment live in our hearts progress will be doa. Remember guys, we're family. We can endure this, we can overcome any challenge, it just requires us to be willing to bend and do things we normally wouldn't want to do to help the community as a whole. Whatever you guys decide I'll support you as best as I can.

I think that are people in leadership positions, that don't understand our community.  They seem to want to put themselves before the community and they don't understand why it's a problem.

Simply put:  If you want to be a leader in GSCH, you can not be that type of person.  You must be willing to put the community needs first, by sacrificing some of your wants and finding a compromise.

Being a leader in the Gaiscioch community means that you are willing to make sacrifices.  If you are not comfortable with that, then you should not be a leader in our community.  It's not a mark against your skills or personality, it just means that your needs and our needs are not a good match.

In Chapters, leaders are carefully chosen.  However, this isn't happening in official social adventures, and it should.  When a guild carries the GSCH brand name, people expect a particular gaming experience, one that they are familiar with in an official Chapter.  They have every right to expect a GSCH experience.  So putting folks in charge, who are not familiar with the Gaiscioch Way, is going to result in issues, such as this, as well as Aion, Archeage, RIFT (post-Chapter) etc.

We can't blame games and their designs for everything.  Gaiscioch is supposed to be a social gaming community, and we have to take responsibility for being able to adapt to these adversities.

Read your credos.  They are the best guide you will have, as to what is expected of you, whether you are a leader or a member, if you're in a Chapter or in a Social Adventure.

Like all things in life there is more to this. We are trying to resolve it in a way that it will be beneficial to everyone.

Remember Fog hand picked the officers and leaders for GSCH before the game launched so he knew what he was doing.

I'm truly sorry that the leadership position has caused you stress and aggravated your physical discomfort, Bri.

As one of the people who left, I just wanted to clear up any misconceptions that I left for any other reason than my own feelings about enjoying the game.  No one forced me to quit or asked me to leave. It was wholly my decision.

That being said; I fully believe in the Credo and am more than happy to help anyone within the family with anything they need. I'm usually always in Discord or you can always send me a whisper in-game, I'm usually playing as Tanek. :)

If you do have any questions, I'm always open to talk as well!

I'm somewhat confused after reading Sekkerhund's post.  I haven't met any leaders who weren't familiar with GSCH's credos much less didn't follow them.  The leader of the sister guild, Teaghlac, refused people who wanted to join them.  I for one wanted more involvement with others who were interested in gaining levels and learning about pvp and was told no, we're not taking people from GSCH.  They did let me join their groups and always acted with respect to everyone.  I'm sure that Bri knows the credos.  Who are you referring to with your post?

Bri, I really hope you feel better soon and can do more of what you'd like to do.  Not feeling well is miserable.

I also left, but no one asked me to or offered me anything.  It was just my desire to be with more people who wanted to play at the same level that I was interested in and had similar goals. I'm always willing to help anyone in either section of the guild.  I'm Xandia in game, just hollar at me if you'd like help!

Bris...you're doing a fine job.  Glad to see from the roster that you're still playing and at the head of the group.

This is a funny game.  The vast amount of choice you have as to how you want to spend your time in game is amazing.  I don't think my computer has been off more than 12 hours since release as I enjoy as many of the aspects of the game I can.  I certainly wouldn't consider myself "a casual"...I just don't feel an overwhelming urge to "rush to cap" for lack of a better phrase.

I didn't play beta, so I'm still trying out various classes to see which one I enjoy the most.  I'm currently torn between Musa and Ranger.  Once I decide, I'll level that character to cap and I hope some folks will be around to do scrolls and things.

Sorry to see some of the folks feel the need to move to the other guild due to "progression", but for me it's not how fast I get to the finish line but the journey.  Give me a shout if you ever need a hand with anything.

If the goal is to combine guilds, shouldn't we be working on moving people into GSCH instead of out?  Our roster is at 71 so there's room.

I think we all need to step back and not make this scenario something that it doesn't need to be. I am not a leader so I am not privy to everything  but the way the split was positioned to me by leaders in GSCH is GSCH would be more focused on casual players  with the other guild focused on the node wars.  So with my end game goal being Pvp, node wars etc and so on - why would I not want to be with a group that is focused on that? Node wars are going to require Silver and the type of players that enjoy that content.

I honestly think the more we focus on this split as something negative, it will become that way.  We are all going to be in Discord, we are all going to be interacting - so what's the issue.  To quote that oh so beloved song n Frozen..."Let it go..Let it go"

<3 you guys

No, there is not room yet. We have 50 people here in Teaghach right now, and I do not think it is right to reduce the inactive level to 4 or 5 days and even felt 7 days was not enough - we all did which is why 2 active rooms were created in the first place to make sure people could deal with real life, other games, and whatever else thrown at them. Right now, until both branches can honestly say that there is enough actives to remove at a reasonable inactive level we do not have the ability. We will get there, but now isn't it. The intention all along was to restructure under GSCH so as a few stated above, why does it matter? This honestly isn't much different than it has been the entire time why don't we  just play the game the way we want and when space is made we can all be under one roof again it is done. We are all here for each other...no reason to dwell on something that in the end doesn't even matter.

On discord if you need help.

Sapheira would you consider joining GSCH and lettting Jace stay in Teaghach? That way you could help get missions rolling on GSCH and you two would have visibolity in both rooms? This woupd also give you perspective of how the gsch feel. Its easy to say how easy it is when your in the same room as your circle of friends. Pull yourself on the other side of the wall and see how it feels. I think this will show you a lot of what challeneges we face.

Fog, I'd come over there myself in order to correct the problem. While I understand that members have had their officers removed that was not anyone's fault other than lack of solid communication and actions. However for days I've been trying to help and have been reached out with a closed door. I've asked for time from all of the people involved to cooldown so we can be rational and make good choices just to find that people come to spew madness on the forums. It's childish, it's irrational, and it's not good for a leader (officer or whatever) to do that when it was getting addressed as it should in private with the "involved" parties.

GSCH leadership in the BDO guild (GSCH) was and is the issue here. It was lacking at best with only 4 in a guild of 100. If GSCH wants us to help out I don't mind getting everything staged. However.. what will really change here if even one of my officers or myself comes over? The issue starts at the top and trickles down. I can fix it, but there needs to be trust there and as we know, there in lies the problem.

I just ask that we redirect these forum messages to more positive directions and look for solutions. While it's great to talk it all out, most of the people here are not involved in the root issue, just the results. We can spend time fixing problems or the main issue. I'd rather fix the issue.
