So, those of us in the beta are loving this game! Several are saying this will be our main game for a while to come. There are lots of incentives to log in regularly, including some of the best guild tools I have seen. I think we will see lots of participation on this one.
Do we have a Guild started in BD?
Yes, & it will get recreated for launch. I think we're planning on everyone leaving an alt character (initially) in Olvia to make invites easier.
Were gonna have to all work together to raise funds to get the guild open past the limited clan interface. March 3rd we'll Be throwing all we got on raising the 100k to open the full fledge guild. Otherwise well be limited by invite privileges and slots until we can upgrade. Its going to be a team effort.
Hey Fog, I know we haven't seen you much this beta, because life, but that 100k is easy. We're testing out guild missions this evening.
Yeah the 100k isn't even 10 hours for one person vendoring trash. Where will we announce what sever we are all going to be on?
It's less than 3 hours of fishing, also.
In the best spots, it could be one hour of fishing. It could even be in once catch!
This game seems really good at the moment. For Gaiscioch, the main thing that remains to be seen is what impact the open-world PvP will have each individual's gameplay.
I can completely lose myself in this game; it was just that good of an experience. And we haven't even scratched the surface in what this game offers.
I wish i could have recorded what i witnessed earlier last night as i was exploring higher level areas, but Oh my lord..... you guys are going to see some really epic stuff happening in the world dynamically and on it's own accord.
I had limited time to experience the beta as I work on weekends, but man I had some fun here! By the end I'm still completely undecided as to what I want to play - I enjoyed the tamer, valk, & witch the most but never managed to level to 20 because time and I kept getting distracted by all the things there are to explore.
Definitely think I'm going to focus on playing this for a while since nothing else seems to keep my interest very long lately. I'd like to help out - my 'weekends' are Mondays & Tuesdays at the moment & I'm looking forward to this adventure!
I came into the game with a 50/50 feeling. At the end of the weekend I paid 50 bucks, could not wing 100. ::chuckles:: I'll figure out how to buy my costumes in game thank you and buy pearls if I REALLY want to spend my play money of the month on getting something.
There is SO MUCH strategy in this game that killing things is only a small part of it. There is node management, crafting, traded routing, horse taming and breeding, amity with NPCs, quests for contribution, fishing, and mini games. I even milked a cow! It was a bit more realistic than I thought, though we did note these cows have only two teats, not four.
So I'll be able to play March 1st! Some of you will have a two day start due to splurging on the conquerors pack.
NOTE: I'll still be messing with ESO, but this game has a LOT of things in it I've been wanting in a game for YEARS!!!!
Fog, I was thinking I might start the guild with the 5 day headstart and then pass it off to a higher member later. It only costs half the guild funds and inventory for a transfer so nothing to destructive at the start of a game. With so many trolls we might want to grab the name early.
On top of that Fog we can't throw money at the guild creation. We have to work it up individually from what I can tell. There is no donation to the guild unless the guild can't pay the taxes and then the contracts are in jeopardy.
Also, as it's been mentioned you really need to have active members in this game. If you have a small guild and not to many active members than it will kind of be a hard time on you. The guild system works as so:

The guild will create contracts for every member. A guild member will get paid 30k silver every day and depending on their contribution to the guild they can get raises. That can't be changed. In fact in order to get credit for guild missions and for guild perks the GM or officers have to renew your guild contract when it expires. You can have a 1,5,15,or 30 day contract.
If a person is terminated from the contract the guild will pay out 300% of his contract for early termination out of guild funds immediately.
In order to do guild missions you need about 4 level 20 players and if we have 10 level 10-15 i'm sure we could knock them out fast. The smallest guild mission gives the guild 400k silver thus allow us to pay for the salaries of all the players. Personally if we start a guild and most people contribute I don't see a problem with claiming your hard earned salary.
Bri, Neo, Nighthawk, Malthol, Anya, Sapheira, myself and a few others figured out alot about the guild system the last few days of the beta and wow is it neat. We also figured out alot of the other depth systems. So far I'm hooked.
As far as the node wars go I think that will be our best bet come 50+ as we might not have enough to attack a castle for a bit.
I'm going to create another thread to discuss our starting game goals. We should all be working towards something together if we want to start strong in BDO.
My husband and I have also decided to buy the 50.00 package. We wont be leveling real fast prolly because we love to explore and I have a feeling we will be doing a ton of gathering, mini games. trading etc rather then leveling but we would love to join you guys in the effort to get gaiscioch going in BDO. Will you all be playing on the the unofficial rp server do you think? I usually prefer rp servers as the environment is usually a bit more immersive but were open to wherever you all wanna set up.
We are not sure to the server just yet as some of them changed names this last CBT. So we will have to see however we were able to join Edan, Belanos. As far as leveling goes you might want to join up with us and power level \ grind to about level 20 as thats when you can do things like mounted combat and still go back to the starting areas and play through the story quite a bit.
I really recommend grinding a little bit to at least 20 that will give you much needed cash and the ability to really stretch out a bit as a new player. Being lvl 20 you can kill purple mobs around Calpheon ( a major city) with some difficulty and yet still participate in any guild gathering events we may start to do. You also be in a good area to not get critically hit from bandits when doing trade runs.
I went in not knowing anything about the game. After logging in there was so much to do, that I forgot to log into guild wars 2 that weekend. Man this next week is going to go so slow. I bought the large package to get the extra days head start. Totally worth it. I will try to put my 7 day free pass on the key site so people can try it out. Great to see guildies in the game. I even got a few wisphers from GSCH members of ESO asking if the GSCH guild tag ment I was from Gaiscioch
I'll be skipping the GW2 event this coming Sat. night and logging into BDO as soon as servers open. Not that I've really been showing up to GW2, anyway, but sometimes I guess I do on Sat. night.
I am also putting SWTOR (which has been my main) on the back burner for this.
Might not be the right forums for this but is there a list of whos going to be playing BDO? i haven't played with the family since ESO and would love to hit the ground running in BDO with meeting everyone. I hope to make the Wednesday meeting on discord (sp). My plan now is to just be on discord when the game goes live but any others avenues you can suggest would be well received. Thanks and look forward to playing with you all again or for the first time.

Well, for the record, I'm not putting any games on the back-burner. As a matter of fact, I'm looking at fitting more into my schedule, as well as begin streaming several.
Sounds like we are starting to get a good massing for this game. I can't wait to see you all in there!
LOL - I need to see if I checked the social adventure as doing it! I am going to wind up the leader of this merry band, so I better do that as a good example.
EDIT: Checked and I am though I don't remember directly checking it. However, I did post an event Sunday for people to claim. =) It's been a not so great week healthwise and then trying to figure out this awesome game has fried some circuits, me thinks. ;)

I haven't been a fan of any Offical gamel since RIft so I'm super excited to be playing with GSCH again. It's always been my favorite community and BDO is an amazing game.
Sounds like a nice change of pace. I'll be joining you folks on Wednesday.
