Black Desert Guild

So... what kind of guild are we to expect when we go into the GSCH version of this. I just don't want to jump in all on board and be playing in a semi active guild with little to no goals.

*not saying we will be inactive* Just saying I didn't want to kind of dabble in the game but I wanted it to be my main for a bit.

1. What will the starting goals be? I know they are talking about node wars and other GvG type activities being turned on later but not at launch.

2. Are we going to try and meet up to stay about the same area for control? Not sure how this works.

3. What type of guild will this be as in, are we going for a castle a city, maybe just avoiding all that to play the game. What say you all?

I think my wife and I will want to play this a whole lot so we might get very heavy into it. Just let me know what you guys are thinking. 

Hm, I think some folks may misunderstand the idea behind the Social Adventure program.  I hope the following helps to understand and decide which Social Adventures, if any, are appealing enough to try out.  (I obviously fully support the program, in case it's not obvious.  ;)  )

Social Adventures were created to allow family members to play other games, and still be a part of this community.  Gaiscioch is a gaming community centered around this website, not around any particular game.  The idea is to provide a means for all members to feel like they remain a part of the community, even after they move on from any of our "official Chapters".  That's why Fog implemented an event claiming system, along with a basic structure and qualifying criteria.

Social Adventures are just meant to be casually moderated, not run like an "active guild", although if that is what some of the members wish to do, then they are more than welcome to take the initiative.

Now, will the Black Desert Social Adventure be an active guild?  Can't say, that's entirely up to everyone who wants to be involved.  Will Fog do stuff?  Probably.  Will he focus much on Black Desert?  Doubtful, but who knows.  It almost... *almost* qualifies as a Chapter, but unfortunately some of the criteria that it does not meet, are major showstoppers.

I guess that kind of answers my question and puts up some additional concerns. Thanks Sekk

Yeah, this is something we'll have to figure out as a group, as it isn't a full chapter. I can't play any game as if it is a second job, but I like this one & plan to play so long as it remains fun. I'm not all read up on capturing nodes and castles or pvp, so I don't have an opinion on that aspect so far.

Im in regardless. I have been retired to long and feel the urge to play and I know the Gaiscioch family will find us some fun. If we create a guild super but if we don't no biggy really. Just look forward to exploring this super dynamic game. Azendis "Morghen" Twinstrike

I am returning to gaming also after being retired for a bit and have been checking out Black Desert. I'm curious as to what criteria in the game mentioned in Sekkerhunds post the game doesnt meet for it to be a full chapter? Still learning about the game myself.

For one thing, we don't know how many folks are planning to play. It has 109 votes in the Seed Survey, but only 23 folks are signed up for the Social Adventure so far.

Remember that to be part of the social adventures you DO NOT need to be in GSCH. You can be a part of any guild and still join us for events. Ill be hosting at least 1 of our Thursday Social Adventures in BDO a month as long as population continues to come out. I tend to try to get at least 10 people to each social adventure event.  In March 3 of the events will be in BDO. Those events will go to where people show up to play. If people show up we'll do them more often.

That said. Everyone and anyone can create social events for BDO. In game guild membership is not required. The goal of GSCH In BDO will be to create a meeting spot to provide players with a circle of friends they can go do things with. Every event leader will have their own focus and really its up to each individual to decide what they want to do. If you want to siege grab friends and siege. Play how you want, when you want, as long as you want.

The seed survey only captures the recent votes we did an earlier poll with ove 200 votes for bdo. This is our 3rd such poll.

How do we sign up for the Social Adventure?  I definitely plan on playing BDO.  I am currently a member of a guild that will be starting in BDO at Pre/Launch. I will be happy to report back to GSCH on what the game is like and how the BDO community environment is progressing.
