Guild Meeting 5.22.16 recap, part deux
We're stocking the guild bank with base materials and recipes for people who are crafting as they level. Crafting is part of the total character experience and some folks enjoy that part of the game just like some enjoy RP or PVP. We don't want to ever discourage folks from playing how they want, its more of an awareness thing for people who haven't played the current expansion. I hope I didn't come across as discouraging anyone from doing so ><
All old world cloth, leathers, herb and ores are welcome in the Guild Vault. If you'd like to donate those base materials just put them in the appropriate tab. There are several recipes in the guild bank, and more to be stocked as people take what they can use. If you are leveling through old world content please check for new recipes each day that will help you along the way. We are also stocking glyphs and enchants as quickly as possible.
If you need secondary items for old recipes like gems, dyes and smaller crafted parts ask in guild and there are several folks who have the older mats in their personal banks (and personal guild banks on alts) that will gladly donate them. It's too much to add everything plus meats and fish to the guild bank - five expansions worth of crafting mats! We actually had a full guild bank last week and had to discuss how to handle it all, so that's been our compromise :)
There is no limit to the number of alts you can guild at this time. We will not start "Roster Management" until if/when [GSCH] hits 500 in game characters.
If you can get it out of the bank, you do not need to ask permission. Do not feel guilty or think you have to explain why you needed to take five stacks of something, or bags, or anything from the guild bank. It is there, freely donated and ready for the taking. If we wanted you to take less we would set the limits lower :) Please take what you need and will use.
What is an Heirloom, and why should I care?
Heirlooms have a light-yellow or pale golden hue in their text color, and their attributes scale with the character's level.
So in a nutshell, you roll a level 1 character, open your heirloom tab and click on whatever is in your collection to immediately "create" that gear in your inventory. The helms, legs and cloaks are available from the guild vendor in Stormwind. If you are new to the game, ask a Mentor for the funds to buy these three items. The gear will level as you level and never require repairs. A complete list of heirlooms is here:

The Guild Vendor sells many useful items, including heirlooms.

This link contains a list of everything he sells. We have earned the guild achievements to unlock all heirlooms listed. We are working to unlock everything, but that will take some time :)

Also mentioned at the meeting, guild renown tabards are account bound. If you have a high level guild tabard on another server and you want to quickly get [GSCH] reputation, mail the tabard to your new character!
