Hi this is Othrakin 33 Rune Priest. I recenlty got to t4 and have some questions in regards to the city sieges. I did get in a pick up group with Fog a week ago and we entered IC and messed around a few, was a good learning night for me. I understand the stages and such but am confuses as to when you can tell a siege is about to begin? I hear poeple shouting out " we got 15 minutes to get in". Is there a timer on SOR? Do you make your way to the entrance to IC? How about a city defense? Do you go to Reikland? Can you enter solo and get in a group?

I am sure i will get all these questions answered in time as i usualy do thru experience. but if any has the time to give me a quick overview it would be appreciated. i will see you in the game.

Great fun in the t1 event last night.

I'll try to answer best i can from my limited experience and im sure others with better knowledge can add and correct. If i recall right the timer they are speaking of shows over the City icon on the map like a BO or Keep timer. And you go to Reikwald i believe it is to join the City through the portal, and yes you can just run in solo if you want to just PUG it. If you are in a premade city group DO NOT go in before your WB leader tells you to though. Ive seen people get some pretty good butt chewings for doing that. Hope i help a little and didnt confuse you more that i helped haha

I will try to expand on this a little. State of the Realm is an add on you should probably have. It tells you vp's for zones and the timer for city and safe mode. As for entering IC, you would go to the Maw, you don't have to get there only by Chaos Waste. Each zone pairing has portals that will take you to the Maw. This is good to know in case destro is ganking in CW. For defending, you will be able to fly to Reikwald and enter the locked Altdorf from a portal in a temporary camp. The camp has everything that the city had in it. Just a little more info. I you have vent try and find a group using it, makes it a little easier to follow directions. If you are in an alliance group make sure you opt out if you can't use the gear yet. If you need any questions answered send me a tell in game, I'll be glad to answer any questions you may have.

If you don't have SOR, you can see the timers on the World map page. The map page will show you 2 timers, for the whole 2 hours (safe and active) and it will show how much time till safe mode. Regarding SOR the next patch is most likely to break it completely. TO go into a city defense you can fly to Reikwald, the refugee camp, and enter there. For IC you have Run from CHaos Wastes WC through the Maw. Let me know if ya have anymore questions.

I may have misunderstood the question, so forgive me if I'm way off. When either faction locks two pairings a city siege results. This can be done via domination (dom) locks or Victory Point (vp) locks. In the case of a dom lock, then the highest timer (bo or Keep) in the last pairing is your countdown as to when a siege will begin. In the case of a VP lock of the last zone of a second pairing the "countdown" may not be as exact. Unless there is a BO or Keep being taken that will give the last VP points needed to flip the zone. In the latter case the timer is likely three minutes (in the case of an objective that was just taken) or up to 15 minutes if the offensive force is simply having to wait for the last BO to become available before zerging it down and flipping the zone. You will sometimes here people announce in T4 that a zone is locking in X minutes regardless of timers. This is either optimism, accurate prediction, or straight up propaganda intended to bring players to the zone to help lock it. You'll get a feel for which is the case based upon your own experience with both the mechanics and those who speak often in Tier 4. :) Once a city becomes open to siege (contested) the city icon will show as yellow on the empire/chaos pairing map. A timer also shows. The clock starts at 60 minutes and counts downwards. This is the countdown for starting a new city siege instance or the time left to jump into a new one. This is also your countdown for finishing your existing instance so you can jump into a second one. Once the city in question is no longer contested, one can no longer enter/start a new instance*. The city icon will switch back to the faction color (white and blue for good guys, black & red for muppets) and a new timer will appear. This count down shows the timer for the "rebuilding" phase. This is essentially the time you have left to finish your existing instances. Once this timer counts down the city status drops a point and the underdog points are tallied. *there is a known exploit where people can crash their client while in an instance and get a new instance (often their third) even though the city is locked. I won't give the details as doing so is a sign of poor moral character and no one within our alliance should stoop to such levels. I hope that helped. Cheers
