Zombie Killing Mondays!

My initial motivation for this event is a bit selfish. I'm trying to get credit for killing 10,000 zombies. I'm at about 3500, but have a long ways to go.

But then I realized #1 I have a bunch of random cool stuff that's clogging my inventory that could be used as prizes. #2 We don't have much scheduled for Thursday for the month of July.

So I'm going to start hosting Zombie Killing Thursdays for the month of July. There's two large zombie killing zones: Starbrook Falls pq in Elyrion and Foul Ruins pq in Marshes of Madness. (also pit of the forsaken in Ostland for t1 folks)

I'll probably have the event last about 2 hrs start at 6pm PST. The pq's give decent rewards of their own; we'll just want anyone 20+ to opt out (and/or get the opt out mod) (regular prizes can and will be awarded to ANY level however).

Here's my question to you guys:
#1 What sort of prizes should I give out?
#2 What do we keep track of to give prizes for? And how?
#3 Is there some level 35-40 hero zombie somewhere in the game we could use as the last epic fight?

So far for #1 I have all three levels of fireworks, a bunch of Fleshrender of Settra trophies, a few Ritual Blades of Styx, and money.

For #2 the best thing I can think of is "Who kills the most" (which I'll need before and after screenshots of ToK--seems more work than it's worth--need a better idea)

Give me some feedback if you could.

To Clanorton: Is there a way we could do this Mondays if Thursdays don't work out (just for the month of July)? Could help jumpstart your first few roleplay events. That way you and I could make it a contest AND a RP event. Any good items to reward for the best roleplayer? Feel free to say no ty if you want to keep these things separate.
EDIT: Clanorton has agreed to pair our events together for 2 Mondays--should be fun!

Prizes so far: #1 Epic level Firework/Ritual Blade of Styx trophy/15g for mount or other use/Enough Golden Scarabs for Purchasable LOTD trophy (Khalida's Stylus) [1 Winner per event] #2 Rare Level Firework/1g/Enough Golden Scarabs for Purchasable LOTD trophy (Oil of Nephtys) [1 winner per event] #3 Uncommon level Firework/Fleshrender of Settra trophy/Enough Golden Scarabs for Purchasable LOTD trophy (Ritual Ornament) [4 winners per event] Honorable Mention Prizes: Best Roleplayer: A surpize special pocket item! Note: If a player decides he wants a lower prize, he can have it. IE if a person is awarded a choice of #2 prizes, he also can decide to pick a #3 prize instead.

I'm in! I guess this would be a great chance for Seabhran OR Eirean to get some zombiekilling exercises. =) And I love collecting trophies. I usually have a tab on bank specially for them. =)

We're going to start these next Monday! I'll host 2 of them.

Zombie Killing Mondays start soon this Monday. Here are the rules: #1 Take a screenshot of your zombie kills before we start. #2 Take a screenshot of your zombie kills at 8pm PST when we finish. #3 Within 24 hrs, send me an email with the two screenshots so I can figure out a winner and send out requests for what prize you want. (dansjobseattle@hotmail.com) #4 For Pit of the Forsaken, all players level 12 or higher, opt out. The loot of this pq is for levels 11 or lower. #5 For The Tower of Neborhest, all players level 22 or higher, opt out. The loot of this pq is for levels 21 or lower. #6 No repeat winners. IE if Joeshmoe wins 1st, he can only win 2nd or 3rd during the second event. #7 Best roleplayer winner will be chosen by myself and Clanorton and prize will be awarded at the end of the event; all other prizes will be sent out within 24 hrs. #8 Have fun killing and roleplaying a zombie destroyer extraordinaire. Side awards: Killing 1000 zombies awards players with a bestial token used for Altdorf Library bought trophies. Possible lower level helm/shoulder drops. NOTE: Lower level helm and shoulders no longer drop. Drop tables have changed. The Tower of Neborhest awards a gold bag with a set piece for lower level players (sometimes purple bag with purple item). Pit of the Forsaken awards a blue bag with a ring for lower level players.

Last reminder bump before the big zombie killing fest tonight!

That was a lot of fun! Selessca you still can choose a common firework or a trophy of settra since you showed up. We'll be doing it next week, same time, but a different pq! (And surprise surprise the 40 bw didn't win! Probably b/c he started an hr into the 2hr killing fest) Azazen and Chrits (sp?) won 2nd and 1st respectively. I decided to rewrite the rules a bit and everyone else got 3rd place prizes. Wende (sp?) won the roleplaying prize, but politely declined b/c "the fun and company were good enough" for him!

Well for what little I was there it was fun.

Whelp I'm all out of prizes so I think I'm going to go back to solo killin zombies for a bit. Glad we had so many show for these two events. In the near future I may have them again... just keep your eye open for it to show up in the forums.
