Faireach and I are trying to get a USB Logitech mic working on his computer, and not having much luck. I can hook the mic up to my Mac and everything works fine. But on his, we get nothing.
I think the problem is BEFORE it gets to Vent, but I don't know that for sure. We've tried looking in his Sound CP to set the mic as the input device, but nothing in the popup menu is obviously the mic (and there are a ton of things in the popup).
Fair is running the Windows 7 RC. The Logitech web site claims no drivers are needed for the device (and in fact doesn't even HAVE drivers you can download for it). I'm a long-time Mac user, so my knowledge of trouble-shooting Windows hardware is pretty limited. So... I've pretty well exhausted my know-how, and now there ain't no-how I'm gonna get it going without help. :-D Anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks!
EDIT: We sorta kinda have it working now, although his output is pretty low. I can bump him up where he can be heard/understood through my speakers, but it takes a pretty big bump to do it. ;-)
