Ok, so, here's the thing - Vigilance or Glory? I want to be a good, solid tank, but I also want to be able to sometimes boost the folks in my party. I think the problem is this - I don't know if I want to be thought of as a possible "go to person" to tank just one thing, or the "go to person" that someone says "Go stand behind her. If he/she/it gets through her, then we didn't have a chance to begin with". (Just with a PVP focus, because I'm really not into the PVE in this game.) I do think I'm leaning more towards the latter, but honestly, every time I try to read any of the class guides for this game my eyes glaze over.

Then there's the whole gear thing, and what I should be focusing on...ugh. SO! I come to you, my fellow Family members, to ask "Anyone got any ideas for me?"

This is my favorite Knight PVE Tank build (and it's a decent rvr defense build) http://www.wardb.com/career.aspx?id=10#0:0:9:512:13:2560:25:503:8061:8048:8049 I'd then twist, On Your Guard, Gather Your Resolve and either Stand STrong (tgh) or AoA (thorns) depending on the situation.

I can't say anyhting KOB specific but there is another thread on teh site here about SMs and Aarian(sp sorry if wrong) and I had a good list of general tanking stuff realted to RvR. Mainly stat stacking and S/B Vs 2 hander. Some good info in there if you want to take a look.

Personally, I like a variation of the build that Tserash mentioned. http://www.wardb.com/career.aspx?id=10#0:0:9:40:13:512:29:503:8056:8048:8049 Twisting - Gather Your Resolve, To Victory, and Stand Strong. Reduced chance to be setback is critical for your healers. The worst part of being beat on if you're a healer isn't necessarily that you're taking damage, but that you can hardly cast because of the setbacks. As I think everyone can agree on, the Knight is a highly defensive tank and are EXCEPTIONALLY useful to their groups because of their auras. Knowing what I do now, if I could trade my SM for a knight, I'd do it in an instant. Twist your auras, hit Shield Rush every 10 seconds to keep your block + parry rate up, snare, knockback, and stagger when needed, and use your Glory attacks to do damage/strip enchantments.
