I saw this movie today and I was impressed with it. I could not tell what was CG and what was live action. I recommend seeing this movie in the theater and if you have the chance to see it in 3-D, DO SO.

i saw it on release date,it is indeed amazing
Went to see it lastnight in 3D but was sold out =( will prob try again next weekend.
I saw it openening weekend. I must say it truly will change how you want to see movies if you manage to see it in 3D. Even without the 3D technology it would still have been a decent movie, but if you add that??? Hehe
I saw it in 3D sweet
Tenebrae and I went to see Avatar on one of our "kid-free" weekends. Very good movie - we enjoyed it a lot. Unfortunately there was enough "language" in it (some character appropriate, some apparently added just to make sure they got the PG-13 rating), that we had to think about it for a while before we decided to take the kids. We eventually decided to take them... So... We got to see it twice... heh heh... Advice: If you go see it, be sure your bladder is empty - and do not get the super-big-gulp of Coke. You wont want to take a break :) Stoat ~ Steward of Armyn ab Treanid
So Stoat, how did it go with the kiddies. Avyce and I are considering taking our eldest (8yrs) but aren't sure about the length movie and the intensity of some of the scenes.
Avyce and I were so blown away by it that we have seen it twice already and are looking forward to taking the kiddo as an excuse for three. It just won't be same when it not on the bif screen in 3D.

Our kids are 7 & 9... and they did fine with the exciting scenes (and weren't too bothered by the emotional ones). Our younger required two bathroom breaks. Fortunately, the Colonel gives a speech "about" at the 1 hour and 1:45 hour marks, and since the 7 year-old wasn't too concerned with the story (he just wanted to see "cool stuff") that worked well for him. Our oldest wasn't about to be pulled away for the bathroom, and she made it through the full 2:40 with no breaks... heh heh... Stoat ~ Steward of Armyn ab Treanid
The site "runpee.com" usually has good recommendations on "when to run-pee" during a movie. I just don't agree with them on this movie (for adults anyway)... If you have to leave during the movie, you will either miss the story, or spectacular visuals... I say, just dehydrate yourself first, and don't take a break... heh heh...
