My son and I have been playing Trove (Trion Worlds' sandbox massively multiplayer online role-playing game), and was wondering if anyone else plays around in this pixilated world.
At first, I started playing it because it was there, on the Glyph launcher, and Rift was having connection issues. Then, I got hooked. It's a great game if you only have 15 mins, but you could spend hours fighting monsters and building your dream home/castle/skyscraper, etc. My son (he's 7) started playing with me. It's almost perfect as a starter MMO for him. The tutorial is easy to follow, and it's like Minecraft, but with dragons you can fly on and a much more expansive crafting system. Dungeons only take between 2 - 10 mins to complete, so it keeps his attention. The battles can be tough and take a bit of strategy, but not so much that you find it too frustrating or impossible. We have not delved into the world of Clubs (Trove's equivalent of guilds), yet, but they seem like fun with cooperative building.
Update (4June2017):
We finally gathered everything we needed to make our own Club world! It's a little plain right now, but we have most of the essentials. So if anyone would like an invite to the Kitty Kane Club World, look for Oliviroscer or Smebylok in game. You could also PM me on Discord. We'll be happy to give you your own little piece of club world to build on =)
