Hello all!

Like the title says, there has been interest for static raiding group so we want to build one. We are currently in building phase so we are looking players who would be interested joining in such group.

This group would be experienced group and there will be certain requirements to be included in the group. Now everyone is welcome to join and try, but also needs to understand that if performance is not up to task then person can be removed from group or put into reserve. And do remember we have on Thursdays and Sundays raid training events so through those events you can also progress into static group. And if you do decide come and try out, use class, which you are most comfortable playing with.

Requirements:
1. Gear needs to be at least on exotic level and correct for the current class meta. If you feel that full meta builds are making you too squishy, you can always discuss with group about alternatives which won't lower your dps too much.
2. Build needs to be correct for the current class meta.
3. Must have 1 raid ready class (Pwr/Cnd DPS, Healer, Tank)
4. Willing to make at least one or more raid ready classes.
5. Some knowledge from the raids.

We want to point out that this isn't training group and during raid runs, if someone calls out person by name, it isn't personal. We are trying to get person notice, if person is under special mechanic from boss. We all make mistakes and should able handle feedback about it. Same rules will apply as in any other GSCH events. Also we will discuss about after the raids what went well, what went poorly and what we can do to improve and have constructive feedback to each other.

So if you are interested, please reply to thread or talk with group in discord or in-game. After we have gotten enough people for the group then we start discussing what would be most suitable raid time for everyone.

Good tips for new raiders and even experienced ones

Edit:

Currently we have 10 members in group, but we very much would like to get more people as everyone knows that real life happens and someone can't join on event. And don't worry everyone will get chance to raid and get rewards.

I'm interested.   Are we going to have people mostly running the same classes each week?

Well it would be nice that if everyone would have at least 2 different classes ready and more preferably different roles, so if you have now condi dps then have power dps class also. Or healer or tank, because some bosses can be killed more easier with condi and some with power and some needs combination and so on.

We are home and I was reading up on the website, etc. Looked at last Friday Static raid group, was wondering about those signed up who are not on the static raid group list and have not signed up as an alt. , how is that being handled, because if we had been home in time, would we have been in the group or do you go by who signs up? Also, can we post what wing we are doing prior to the raid , so we can get familiar with the bosses, if we dont know them well. And have an assigned meeting spot? If you are not there at the time of the meet, say 10-15 min before, or you forfeit your spot? We did this in Rift, WoW and EQ, worked really well, seems like a lot of time is spent waiting for ppl to show up, and who is playing what, which tends to cut 20-30 min out of the raid time. If this is a static raid group and not a training group you have the right to have stricter rules. Thanks! <3

The form up is 30-15 mins earlier, we will be start doing the easier bosses for an hour and then try to tackle the hard bosses for a while in the last hour, I made the mistake of waiting for people who signed up but now if people don't show signs of life after 5 mins we will fill it it with a guildy or a pug; in the forming up time we will discuss roles, who brings what, and what bosses we will be starting with.

This is the order of the raids we will be doing in Friday's Static run

We haven't discussed about how we should handle that. In my opinion best way to handle this kind of overlap would be that priority is always with people who has signed up, no matter if person has been selected to static group or not. However if we have more than 10 people signed up and there are people who aren't in static group, I would say priority is always with static group people and it is up to them if they want to relinquish their spot to person who isn't in static group yet. Also I would say that if we don't have full group signed up then of course priority still is for static group members. And of course finally if all signed up people has been selected to static group and there are more than 10 people then we get people from signup time. That is how I see it.

Also if we get to that situation that we have over 10 static group members signed up, then we can also rotate people like after 1 hour and get some kills for everyone.

Also, can we post what wing we are doing prior to the raid , so we can get familiar with the bosses, if we dont know them well. And have an assigned meeting spot?

Well I usually inform people to join in guild hall on my events so I don't sit on map 30 minutes still doing nothing, but for the raids you can use either guild hall or raid lobby aka Lionarch Aerodome.
About raid bosses, ideal would be that at this point we would go after W1 - Vale Guardian and Gorseval, W3 - Escort and Keep Construct and W4 - Cairn , Mursaat Overseer and Samarog. Those bosses we have trained before and we have had successful kills, but still time to time group is struggling against those bosses and pulls aren't clean. If we can get to that point, that we can kill these bosses easily on our 2hr event time, then we can start switching bosses and even start doing wing clears so for example all bosses in Wing 1. So start with those 7 encounters. All those encounters we have tried at least few times on Thursday and Sunday trainings.

Thanks! <3

This would be ideal that people who is signed up, are in-game at least 15 minutes prior event starting time so we know exactly how many is actually joining and we will see how many we need. That way we could already discuss who is running what and when we have clear plan which bosses we tackle first, we will already know which roles are needed. And when it is time to start event and we don't have full group, we would hold final call for raid event from guild and after 5 minutes we will use LFG and just use PUGs to fill up spots.

I dunno if you all still have any room for the static raiding group, but I have Heal scourge that is raid ready. I've never done raids before but I've watch several videos, and read guides. let me know if this is I something I can get involved in.

Hello Hawke, there are no active raid events in GSCH at this time and the static group has been disbanded. If you are still interested in learning about the raids, the mechanics, and how to clear them, you can join the GW2 Raid Academy discord server, they are very nice, helpful and nurturing.
