I'm not sure if there's an official blog or post about it or not. Good news for those of us with hair accessories that clash with our armor dye scheme.

Well, after the deletion of many characters and rerolling them - I am happy with the looks I have - atm - so I don't need this now. BUT <--- big but, who knows what the future may hold. Barber shops and beauty salons are always a nice addition.
I have a big pile of gems saved up specifically for this. How exciting! Now I'm just waiting for the name changes.

I've been hoping they'd implement a "Barber Shop", because I've been wanting to change the hairstyle on my Mesmer. I gave her the long hair with the colored band, and had made it Rose Red, but it clashed with the dye color scheme that I wanted to use for her. I did scrape something together, but its not what I want to use, so I'm happy they did this. Sadly, I do like her current hairstyle, it fits her "story" the best. I wish they could make armor dyes available for hair accessories, but based on technical explanations that I've read, its not possible because of differences and limitations between the art systems and they can't detect what dyes are unlocked.
This is an awesome addition. I find myself changing the color of my armor every couple of weeks because I am bored or I find a new dye. Variety makes a difference when playing as much as I do. Wonder if they are going to make it possible for name changes and sex changes. Weird thought but I have friends who want to change the gender of their chars as well as their name. ;-)
Total Makeover Kits include a sex change. There are no race changes, speculation is that there won't be. Been no announcement about name changes, but I expect they will offer them, since most people who are changing sex of their toon will probably be wanting a name change, too. ;) But I dunno, a Norn Warrior named "Tabitha" would kinda rock. :D
