Quite a good AMA, though it's pretty heavy on Ascended gear, vertical progression, and "slippery slopes" (yawn). I threw in a couple of questions about social improvements, and WvW queues. We'll see if they're still up answering questions.

Pause on filling queue for DC’d players Replace Orbs to area wide buffs only, to be carried into battle (and possibly lost). Fix orb altar to only allow damage when entry is already physically possible. (or lord is dead). Guild control of keep allows resource holding (split 1/2 with non guild members) that can be used for upgrades. Guild control of keep or tower gives currency rewards to be spent on siege (or just badges). I would like to be more precise but can't be but rest assured we are working a lot on not just new content for this area of the game but also progression, reward and beacon mechanics. END QOUTE: I really like this part. Maybe I'm reading too much into it but he seemed to not only be receptive to those ideas but perhaps hinting at these are some things in the works.
Oldman, I really like that part also - and I know several commanders that will love it. It will make WvWvW a lot more fun and strategic - which equates to fun for me. I love the strategy of conflict and this stuff will add strategy to the game. And making siege equipment account bound will be great - I have actually lost some stuff when I deleted characters (and, yes it was on purpose) but fortunately it was only a couple of arrow carts and a ballista or two.
What I hate is failing to see and pick up WvW loot bags. If nothing else, I hope they fix that. You killed your opponent, you are the winner and you should get your reward without having to search the ground for glowy sparkles, while dodging enemy players and red circles of death. Don't get me started on having to release to the other side of the map, after seeing several bags lying around your dead corpse. I try not to think about all the loot I've missed, especially Marks, because it really does raise my blood pressure a little. I guesstimate over 500 hours out there, so... yea. A lot of lost loot. :( Anyway, seeing "you can expect to see some significant content dropping in this area of the game in the near future." is pretty exciting. I'd live out in WvW if they'd address some of the more frustrating aspects.
