How about a "Day for Denji" event? Help a brother out!

He has always been there for us when WE needed him, how about we be there for him when HE needs us?

Recently, Denji had his account compromised. As many of you know, Denji has gone way beyond the call of duty to craft many many MANY Exotics at his own expense for the benefit of the guild. He is a crafting MACHINE.

Having his account compromised has been a very discouraging setback for him, but maybe we can lift his spirits a bit.

My idea is to organize a night where we farm Northwestern Cursed Shore for 2-3 hours and donate all proceeds either directly to him (not sure if his account has been returned or not yet) or maybe to a specific leader like Fog, Jexia, etc.

Cursed Shore is a place we could raise a good amount of seed money for him in a very short period of time for him. I realize not everyone would be able to attend a Cursed Shore event, but I encourage lower levels to take some time to farm crafting materials or gold from areas easier accessed for you, (or whatever you can do to help him out).

I am just not sure what night I should run this event as yet because it seems anytime I am available it would conflict with another event on the calendar. I am available to run an event on Wed, Thurs, and Fri from 1PM PST / 4PM EST - 12AM PST / 3AM EST

And as far as cash let me know when you're on the new account and I'd be happy to throw you what I got. From what I can tell you're very dedicated to the family, and I appreciate that!

We have actually had a lot of our players compromised in the same way. While I understand what you want to do for one person, just bear in mind many others have been in the same boat, without a special event organised for each one. This needs to be made clear as a "donations if you want to" rather than people feeling obliged as a guild sanctioned event. That said, it is a very nice thing for you to do and I am sure Denji appreciates it :)

Count me in Sklurb, I can't do Friday (thanks giving family stuffs) but just about any other day this week will work Mon-Thurs. Would like a chance to help Denji, I've been very grateful for all his hard work too.

This is the only game I've played that they "AreanNet" won't restore your gold or gear. Ps I'm down to help anyone out that has lost there account.

You can have my sword. :) I am normally on 00:00-09:00 EST. I will also craft up whatever you need. I have quite a few of my crafts at or close to 400.

Keep us posted on a time. Denji has helped a lot of people with mats and gear myself included.

Hexx, my reasoning behind specifically helping Denji is because he has personally crafted and helped the guild excessively via the website Marketplace. Several people in GSCH (including myself) can say that most of their Exotic gear was crafted almost exclusively by Denji without request for materials. Its a nice way to show him some support. I would also be happy to participate in events like this when they happen to others. Maybe we just needed a starting point. =)

I can testify about Denji's undying crafting holiness. He's had my 6 more than anyone else when it comes to my crafting wants - and gone out of his way just to give me things... just for the sake of making me "happy" with my character's build and looks. I doubt that I could actually ever repay his generosity but I will lend a hand if I can. I just need to know when Denji is Denji again. My highest character is level 70 so I'm not sure I can do the run. But I shall be stockpiling resources to donote and help him in any way I possibliy can. Hex, I understand your point and agree - it's happened before and will probably happen again. Of, course it is all voluntary but I feel that way about anything I do for the family. But, because of the way Denji has helped me out, without asking for anything in return, it is more of a personal choice to give back to him as much as I can. I think that is what this post is all about... helping someone out who has been genrous to many of us. I was unaware of Denji's plight and now that I know - I raise my staff high to show support.

He crafted my entire set of exotics as well as the runes for them. He also made sure to keep me supplied with plenty of Oricalcum, Gossamer, and many t6 mats so that I could fulfill more orders for the guild. Dude's a hero in more ways than one and deserves our support.

AAAACK! NOOOOOO-NO-NO-NO-NO-NOooo I saw this post and had a heart attack! First, you guys are suuuuper awesome for even considering doing this for me, and I just don't know what to say. Im literally blown away by the thought of this kind of generosty. I mean the scale of your generosity.... BUT... I can't guys...the amount of generosity on this scale would be just too much for me to even bear to accept. I trip out when someone sends me a few ectos for a thank you, but THIS.... THIS I just couldn't handle. This would freak me out as I am SUPER unworthy of something this big. For real.. I just couldn't handle this kind of thank you although I appreciate it. I am sorry to hear you are leaving the crafting game, but maybe you just need some time between you and this situation before crafting seems fun gain. In the meantime, what can we do to help your new "adventurer" get up and running? I understand how difficult it can be to accept help from people, but we are your guildies and you CAN lean on us when you need to, man.

Awww it is such a shame that when players get hacked they do not just return the items you had before :( Maybe you might have a change of heart and come back /cross fingers!

@Denji: It would be neat to get a glimpse behind the scenes of the Denji Empire that was. If a handful of us could even partially replicate your success, there'd be a few more people around to knock out those Marketplace orders.

OK - Denji is just awesome and I am super happy he'll still be around. I can totally understand dropping out of crafting - it is a huge concentrated effort to get a player to max out like that and accumulate so much stuff. So yes, sit back and take it easy - enjoy the game - come and run in WvWvW with us and alleviate some of your frustrations by storming keeps, towers, and supply camps. Go and see all the vistas - take in the fantastic scenery and enjoy, enjoy, enjoy. It is a fun game.

Remember to update your new Anet ID so folks can secretly send you stuff if they want

Hey Denji I respect your wishes and won't flood your mail with stuff. However, if there is *anything* I can do to increase your fun-level please just say the word. I want to help out. :)

I can try to grab some of the Marketplace orders, but I'm shy of a lot of Exotic recipes which = karma (my 400's are mid level toons and I can't recall if they're BoA or not), so I'm not promising much atm. I'm definitely a casual crafter, so it won't be anything close to Denji's level of needle slinging.

@Arowefell I bought gems, changed it to gold, and started out with alot of gold.

@ Denji: I see. Wealth like that could easily become self-sustaining with very little effort. It's no wonder you were able to craft exotics for everyone who asked - the cost of the raw materials would have only been a small fraction of your income, even assuming a very conservative growth rate. Your start-up costs must have been...good god, man. If you decide to share the details of your empire, I will read them gladly.

I appreciate you taking the time to share! It sounds like you've got a community worth being thankful for this holiday. To be honest, I was hoping you had a secret to amassing huge amounts of gold, something that I could replicate to build up enough resources to start filling Marketplace orders. It sounds like you do have a secret, but it's not something I can copy, so I'll just keep doing what I'm doing and be patient awhile longer. :) Don't be surprised if word gets out about your account being compromised, and you find yourself once again swimming in gold. That's just how generosity works - it's a gift you give that never really stops giving back.

Hey, so small update guys. I've been learning how to play my elementalist well which is just an awesome class to play. I've been running around the map trying to find the best scenery. I really like the Charr areas with all the fall colors. I've yet to try a dungeon, but Ill be asking Susulemon to help me give it a try. I got shot out of the cow cannon which is awesome. What im saying is, maybe it's not so bad that I lost my account. Im really having a good time with the game. The whole reason I did the market thing was to get us armored up, and before i lost the account, alot of us did, so mission accomplished =) Now that I know "fun"..even if I got my account back, Im not really sure if I could go back to the constant all day maintenance of keeping up with the market as well as crafting, and maintaining a team of gatherers. It was a second job. Anyways, just telling the folks that matter; the account thing is behind me, not sure if id go back to the grind if i could, and im having a really great time playing =D

That's awesome news Denji, glad you are enjoying the meat of the game. Charr areas are my favorite also, and be sure to check out the snowy Norn areas this season. I am glad the grind is behind you. i just got hacked the other day and they took everything. it had to be the GW2 crafting sites i was looking at. i spent 18g just for the superior runes of scavaging for my magic find gear and they transfered my account off of SoR. but i got my account back and my toons just gotta restart all over. so i feel your pain Denji and all the other guildies this has happend to.

@ Fatal you had alot invested in your character. Sorry you lost your stuff :/ @ Sklurb THAT's why I haven't seen you, Same as Viktor. Thought you guys split or something.

A crafting site? Did you download something? Create an account with the same email that you use for GW2? (or password?) I visit several different crafting sites, almost daily, and I've not had any account access attempts on my account, ever since I changed my email login after I started getting password reset requests the first week of the game. (They got my email a while back from a fansite hack.) Folks (yes this is general and not specific): Make a new email... Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoo, ISP, anything. Change your GW2 account to that email and NEVER USE IT ANYWHERE ELSE. Follow ArenaNet's guidelines on creating a long password phrase... write it down in .TXT file so that you have it on file, in case of a mental lapse backup. (if you are in a dorm or something similar, keep your password file in an "encrypted folder vault", on a flash drive or someplace secure so snoopers can't open and read it). Don't download any hack programs, bot scripts (I know some of you have, big guild, so statistics are in my favor) or any type of "tool" from a website. Just don't do it, if you don't get trojaned, you run a high risk of detection by Anet and a permanent ban. If you follow these simple steps, you will not. get. hacked. Throw on the email authentication for an extra layer of defense, its a "last line", so to speak, because it means the hackers already obtained your information, which means you messed up and broke your front lines. Keep your front lines of defense strong. If nothing else, just change your email... even if they "brute force hack" with the info they have on file, just changing your email will make their job 50% harder. Couple that with a password over 16 characters, and they're not breaking in the hard way.

No Azyurel, the event was never held, I cut it off. I just couldn't handle that much generosity from everybody :/ Every copper I spent, I would be thinking to myself "self; someone spent hours of their personal time getting this when they coulda been doing something else. Should you REALLY spend it on that thing?" Nowadays im on a quest to open up the entire map as a baby quaggan (bought like 200 potions). It's pretty fun and easy to get sympathy :p The account; meh...whatever. Things come and go, Im cool with it. I'd say maybe a few hundred gold lost, which is no biggie because prior to that, well over a thousand got funnelled into the guild's marketplace and to some commander books. Mission complete. Off to go running around. Orr is just a monster to try and finish X.x

@Sekkerhund didnt download anything i have the game up and running while i was switching back and forth looking at the site. it had to be that. a hard lesson i learned. also i did everything they asked. email authentication use a password i never used before and so on. @Reclis tyvm for the wool and the silver that was very nice you of and i got to make me some bags so i can quest without the pain of stoping every few mins. but they did leave me my three piece Karma Gear but they took all my Karma jugs i was saving in my back.

@Fatal: I am sorry to hear you got hacked and lost all of your stuff. I just hate it when hackers win, especially over virtual items... in a game. Its what drives me to fight them tooth and nail. (also a little bit of vindictiveness) Hm. Well, I had written a lot more, but decided to delete it, because something is not right with what you wrote. They didn't use the browser to hack you while you were alt-tabbing because... well its just not possible to do that, tl;dr. I'm concerned about something much worse that has nothing to do with your computer. (folks might remember the authentication hole that RIFT had in their client) Did you get an email alert via the email authentication at all? You should have and if not, that's what bothers me. What also bothers me, is that they seem to have specifically targeted Denji and his vast wealth, which means they might have somehow used his account ID... I assume you have virus scanned? Norton has a nice cleaner for rootkits, http://us.norton.com/support/DIY/ download that and run it. Something's just not right, my OCD is itchy, can't scratch it.

Denji, Your attitude reminds me of one of my favorite quotes (although I never seem to quote it the same way twice). "Fate is what the universe throws at you. Destiny is what you make of it." Your destiny to enjoy the game is a great path to take. Attitude is everything. We're taking our annual family trip this week to Disneyland. I told everyone to expect rain and temps from 50 - to mid 60's (Fate wasn't real kind this year). One of the other grand parents going said it sounds like we'll be miserable - I told her to look at it as an adventure and we'll have a great time (destiny is what we make it). Again, attitude is everything - and you have a great attitude and that is exactly the way to go through life.

@Morigana, Thank you so much for the encouragemeent :D While we're on the subject of of paths taken, Im saying it here, so we can say that someone from Gaiscioch was stupid enough to decide to do this first. Something else Im doing now that Im not crafting. (This also reveals my TRUE skill level, and why I probably should have stuck to crafting :X) What I have with me: -500 Baby Quaggan Potions (you're a little blue baby quaggan till you decide not to be) -500 Sonic Rifles (cheap consumable unlimited uses, casts confusion once per second. It's the only thing I could really find to pew-pew) -500 experimental teleportation guns (emergency escape. It does what it says it does, it's the mesmer spell) Im going as far as I can get in the game as a baby quaggan, armed with a sonic rifle and a teleportation gun. So far, I'm almost done with all the queensdale hearts, and im about to go into Kessex Hills. I've had another crowd of people following me the past half hour or so. No one's said a word to me, but Im sure they're wondering "WTH is this guy doing? O.o" I don't know either honestly... but it's super fun. Takes me forever to kill mobs, but Im doing surprisingly well for a baby quaggan armed with two rifles. Last night, I did that snow dragon thing as a baby quaqggan and lived. Just in case anyone is wondering, the second half of that dragon fight thing, you can arm yourself with a flamethrower and a charzooka as a baby quaggan. Again, I really doubt anyone else is stupid enough to even care to do this, but I find this very amusing. I didnt do very much damage, but a little blue quaggan waddling around with a flamethrower was very rewarding for me.

I actually didn't noe u can wield weapons in transformed state, can you do this with other tonics? or just the quaggon, because if you can wield weapons, i think the quaggon dart shooters are pretty nice too

You have SO got to take videos, especially if you're out doing Claw event. If you're really feeling frisky, you could even live stream your leveling sessions. LOL

I've got a better idea. Only thing better than a baby quaggan with a flamethrower fighting a dragon, is TWO baby quaggans with flamethrowers fighting a dragon.
