Greetings between Other Gaiscioch members

So I have been running into members of my Guild rather often lately and I have been a little lost for words, I do now know how to greet them properly.  I quickly asked around my Guild and we came up with:

"Dia Dhuit"

He then continued and explained that it is a Gaelic greeting that loosely translated to "God to you"

If anyone has any suggestions as to what would be a good greeting, or if this greeting would be acceptable and good.

Thanks for posting this, I think you came up with a really good idea. Here's the page I got the initial greeting from and there's one for when we run into a group of fellow guildmates that could be used as well, ''Dia Daoibh''. Dia Dhuit! I really like the idea of the second greeting for a group of other Guild members, great idea!

I like the idea of a second greeting maybe not so much that 1 as not all of use would want to say that to someone. I like the Casual greeting on that website or maybe some other good Gaelic saying.

I either do /salute @ or /wave @. It is a little weird in GW2 you have put that @ there to get the s'more of "you salute someone"

So far I've done /salute @ or /wave @. I must admit I find Gaelic intimidating. :)

Dia Dhuit! I am very glad that I joined this guild a few months ago. It is great to be part of a family. In fact two of my buddies are applying as I type. I don't have tons of play time, but I am trying to do more scheduled events and of course interacting with the guild in the world.

/wave @ !!! So /that's/ how it's done! Back in the day it was 'Danu dhuit' because we were Tuatha de Danann, theng queue, but then 'the day' I'm referring to is mucho paleo. I had entire hotbar of macros at the ready - comhghairdeas (grats), míle buíochas (1000 thanks), slainte (cheers/bye) and a long one that meant 'Need rezzing AGAIN?' But time marches on, we're not all Hibernians these days, and I have to stop yelling 'Stay out of Emain' in the Borderlands. What's the Gaiscioch motto? Must be here somewhere.

Wait, what is this "@" makes you do something you're talking about?

GW2 has slightly different emote behavior, apparently: See Player. Target Player. Type: "/wave" Emote: "Roac waves" See Player. Target Player. Type "/wave @" Emote: "Roac waves at Player" Works for /bow, (though it should be 'bow to') so I imagine it will behave in a similar fashion for cheer, laugh, spit, taunt, whatever. Testing party!

I'm not likely to remember Dia Dhuit or Dia Daoibh in game so hopefully Dia will suffice :)
