I've seen him running around. I'm glad that they're making their presence known in game.
That's pretty cool that they make appearances in game and you can plainly see they are not imposters with the logo by their name. I ran into Gwen Yeh (Arenanet artist) playing her necromancer over near the ettins in Queensdale. We were both working on clearing their cave and getting to a rich copper node. We cleared the cave, got the node, and I bowed and waved and went on my way. It's neat to me to see the people who made the game actually playing it.
Congrats. That seems awesome!
Yes, I think I've seen more GM presence in this game than any other (they were quite visible in GW too). I hope eventually they will respond to chat too.
wish I'd spot him! Gotta love his armor, lol
Good sign that ANet is having enough money to hire decent in-game support.
All the GMs I encounter are afk sadly : \
Yep that is cool and glad to see they are doing stuff like that , REminds me old how MMO used to be before WOW lol. Many times in OLD EQ . GM would actualy answer your petitions not in a tell but would teleport to you and personaly handle the issue . A Lot of times you could be running thru a zone in some obscure part and see a GM playing a npc in game asking for help , before you knew it you were on a 2 or 3 hour quest and rewarded with a 1 of a kind item . I remember once a GM appeared to us on a Raid and talked for a while wished us luck and before leaving turned us all in brownies so everyone was 10 inches tall lol. Or another time a GM appeared at the main hub for banking trade etc and turned everyone into fairy`s complete with pink dress , crown, wand, wings and we could fly , was funny seeing 300 of us flying around hehe . Hope they do the GM random quest events , as they always added fun to a mmo something most mmos have forgotten the last 8 years .
This is one of the things I love about EQ2. There, however, the GMs actually fit into the world and don't break immersion. I roleplayed with one for about half hour once. ArenaNet could do better. :(
I've seen Felipe around. Actually, I was doing crafting nodes with him for a while the other day :) Was pretty cool seeing him doing the same stuff I was doing except he was actually in regular armour and fighting mobs with me to get to the nodes :D
It would have been better if he was in gold clad armor.
