GW2 Guild Marketplace: Post Your Requests and Needs

I'm a crafter and am willing to make things, so please start posting requests up on the marketplace. There are other crafters too that don't mind helping guild mates out, but we would like to get some guild rank progression credit for helping out. We can't get these credits unless there are order requests up on the marketplace to Claim and make.

Family Vault Credits

Family Vault Credits can be used to request crafted items or crafting supplies in the Marketplace. Family Vault Credits are obtained by earning Family Honor Points and Contribution. For every Family Honor Point or Contribution Point you earn, you will gain 1 Family Vault Credit.

Above: This means if you don't yet have enough Family Vault Credits that you can earn them by joining and participating in guild events. You Can also earn them buy crafting items for others or even gathering mates for orders that have been posted for them on the guild marketplace. FYI you should be gathering mats anyways do to the fact that you get more EXP from them than you do from killing mobs.

Also, if you get into a Gaiscioch group, you might want to ask the person leading the group if they can post it on the site as a pickup event. With GW2 being so new, sometimes it doesn't even occur to the leader that they are leading an event! The requirements for claiming an event for participation or leadership is that you must have at least 4 Gaiscioch members (including yourself) in the group. Incidentally, I have a full stack of the tier 1 wood just sitting in my collections waiting for the crafters who need them. As a tip to crafters, you may want to seriously consider ordering the raw materials on the marketplace instead of the refined version (or order both).

Please be aware that in-game mail is currently down, so be patient when ordering and fulfilling orders while we ride out their teething problems.

One thing that might help is for the crafters to post a list of a few things that might be desirable :D I am afraid that we are all new to the game so not really know what to ask for.

Right now what is available is mostly crafting materials and their components. Not many items as of yet because the plan is for them to be entered for discovery points. Not sure where we are at with some of the add recipe questions people have had. I know Fog was programming a behind the scenes tracking system so that the one you enters the recipe should get discovery points when the recipe is approved by an elder. Not sure if this is fully implemented yet or not, but definitely know it is part of the plan. However, those that can add recipes for final crafted items have been doing so and they are in the process of being approved. New players to the family have the issue that they had to be Artisan rank 3 to add a recipe, but due to the fact this game is new, they can't get artisan points without having the things available on the marketplace for ordering. Not sure what was decided on this. So check out the marketplace. Be sure to have the Guild Wars 2 logo highlighted as your choice of channels, which is found at the top of the page under the menu. Then you can browse for what exists already to see if there is something you want to order. BTW, all crafting mats are in there so crafters order and let the gathering hordes supply away. ;) Sure there are hiccups and what not with this, but hey, what other guild even has this much available on their website already and has a plan to give you points for contributing by filling orders and adding recipes? Enjoy also the journey this will take us on as we make a Marketplace of Awesome Sauce for the family to use.

As most of the bags of the same tier do exactly the same thing, some industrious crafters have contacted people with work orders to offer alternatives. This has worked really well. Bear that in mind when going through the request list.

Is there of yet a process to contribute materials? I noticed that the guild bank was mostly full of gear - perhaps it would be more useful as a repository of materials? I don't need anything right now, but do have some mats I'm not using! EDIT: Answered my own question by reviewing the list. :)
