argh. i live in pensacola florida. hurricane, although it just shifted west a bit, is pretty much headed straight for us. im sure we'll be fine. weve been through many many hurricanes in this house. there is a pretty good possibility the power will be out for a few days along with a ridiculous amount of rain. should be here tuesday/wednesday ish.

Still only a tropical storm . not even a cat 1 yet . and unless something major happens when it hits the warm waters of the gulf it might be a strong cat 1 when it makes landfall . I`ve been thru around 7 major hurricanes over the last 40 years all cat 3 or higher they are all scary. stay safe those on the east side of the gulf . watch out for storm surge and power lines also shut off gas hot water heaters etc .
if you have time. be sure to stock up on water and canned foods.

no, but I live in D.C. and the weather has been pretty strange up here lately, its probably due to whats going on down there.
We had a little bit of rain and hardly any wind. Hope those in Louisiana fare well!
My brother lives on Pensacola beach. Hope it's not too bad! I know it's started raining already. I live in Orlando and we just got outer outer bands aka a rainy Monday!
Tenebrae and I are in central Mississippi (Jackson area). We are supposed to get heavy rain here, but we aren't supposed to get the wind that they are getting down on the gulf. Hang in there all you coast folks :)
i want to say lucky but i wont, here in California its 95 degrees in the apartment and when you turn the water on there is no cold water, only hot and warm:P so i am praying for some rain and wind right now
We live on the Gulf coast but very little damage done to our house. Screen door was ripped off, and some plants destroyed, but that's about it.
