For what it's worth, in Guild Wars 2 you can indeed sync dances. I met up with a new dancing pal and we played around with it...
The synced dancing command is /dance *, in case you want to try it!

What happens if you try that with a different race who would likely have different dance moves?
I tried it with my Asura and Human, we did our own dance.
Tried male human with female human, we did our own dance.
