For those with Nvidia video cards.

You will probably recieve an error when downloading the client update that informs you that your video card driver will have problems with the game.

No worries. An employee of Nvidia was telling people that Nvidia is releasing a new driver that will solve this problem before the release of GW2. If you want to solve this problem before the stress test, you can download the last Nvidia beta driver.

The good news: you're going to get anywhere between a 10 - 70 percent performance increase with the new driver.

Anyways, if you have any questions, post them here. There is a thread discussing this in the Guru forums in the Tyrian assembly forum. If you scroll back you should find it. If not, I can dig it up for you, but probably won't be available to help you find it until after today's stress test.

I had a few BSODs in the last BWE, all of them related to the video driver. I won't install the driver beta for today's stress test, but I'll make sure I update the drivers before release to prevent problems. Thanks for the info!

havent had any issues but im using beta driver maybe theres a diffrence so no clue ;)

I had no problems with my vid card and received no error message either when I logged into the game - and the game ran great for me today.

I think Anet fixed it on their end before today. My little brothers error message cleared this morning. Still, there is a Nvidia driver coming out this week and it will enhance your performance.

Good to hear that Nvidia will be making this a public release. I haven't really had luck with beta drivers in the past. Thanks for the news, RedHugh. :)

I've yet to have any issues with my card, so a 10-70% performance increase on top of that for GW2 sounds like absolute heaven. BRING IT ON!

There was a beta driver that I tried to install because I was getting that error/warning notice on after I did an update a couple of days before the last stress test. I could not use the beta driver with my vid card but with the update that came right before the last 4 hour stress test on GW2 the warning went away so I am guessing it was actually something on GW2's end. You definitely won't miss this "error/warning." If you haven't seen it, it comes in the form of a huge black box on your screen that covers your patcher warning you that you could have problems. But I think something got "fixed" on the GW2 side of things this past stress test download.

The latest update from the Nvidia guy in the Guru forms says the GW2 Nvidia driver is scheduled to release the 21st. He said it's possible it could be later but expect it before release.

Oh that is good. I know my GTX670 ran smoothly in BW3 without any issues. A boost like this, will surely add to more stable viewing when there is a load of people around, which is what actually hurts my system. That could compensate and help.
