Returning player --- lost

Well title says it all. 
I used to play this game and enjoy it a lot. Like a lot lot. 
Used to lead Fractal runs. 

Been playing Destiny 2 and other FPS games for the last two years. I downloaded GW2 again and I'm lost.

I believe it's worse that I used to do so much and now trying to start a new character is frustrating. 

So, anyone starting a new character and want to group up? 

What's the link to the Discord? I remember this being a pretty active group. 

Looking for someone to help me learn the game again and eventually get into PvP and WvW again.

First of all - Breathe - not worth the frustration. I will suggest you start one character from the beginning, so you get used to the new builds.

Get into discord and go to the GW2 channels - don't be afraid to ask questions. People are around even if they are not in chat channels. They all love to help!

Welcome back. Looks like you already found the discord :) I think you will get answers faster ingame or in discord. Activity in forums can be low from time to time. 

There are always people willing to help and good thing in GW2 is that zones are scaled to certain level so anyone can help you even on low level zones and they won't be overpowered. If that happens, that they don't have new toon.

What comes to PvP and WvW, those can be learned by doing. For current builds check https://metabattle.com/wiki/MetaBattle_Wiki There you can find builds to every aspects for GW2.

Decided to level a Ranger to get back in the swing of things. I'm currently lvl 20 .Let me know if anyone wants to get together to lvl. I plan on going to each zone that is low level first then moving to the next zones. 
Meaning, just finished the 1-15 area for humans. Going to the Norn area now then the Asura, etc etc. Do all them then I'll go to the 25-35 areas
