If you just power quest, you should reach 50 merely by deconstructing items in woodworking, blacksmithing, and clothing before VR9.  I am, of course, basing this off my experience, where I did the same and got done very shortly into VR8 with my last craft (outside enchanting which is sitting at 24 as I slowly deconstruct solo my way up.)  The last to hit 50 for me was blacksmithing, mostly because I sold a number of white items from BS whenever my bags were full and I had nothing else to sell... because I didn't feel like running to the bank before and after deconstructing.

I have been working on everything at the same time, so this is with a stack of every alchemy plant in my bags, along with a few potions, the 3-4 items I want for making food, and some research gear... but with a pack horse and maxed bag size.  I usually complete about 1/8-1/12 a map at a time before needing to go back.

Note:  This is merely from deconstructing.  You do not need to actually make anything.  Also no farming was done, mostly just quest and keep going.  Just so you know when to expect it if you don't trade of spam craft!

I think my lowest crafting is at 43 and max is 47.  Enchanting is something else entirely and the thought of even starting alchemy is bringing waking nightmares.

Alchemy is actually pretty easy to level.  Mine is going up faster than clothing, blacksmithing, woodworking.  But I also harvest every single plant I see on all toons (and I have a friend who sends me all their plants too).

I'm having a really hard time with enchanting. My skill can't keep up with my levels, meaning I cant enchant the gear I make.

the key to enchanting is the ?... if you havent discovered the trait of a rune you will gain mucho experience making a glyph with that rune, if you have all 3 runes undiscovered you can get nearly a ton of IP for making that glyph... other than that, simply deconstruct every single glyph you find

for enchant I think decon is the easiest way,  what I do and this may just be dumb luck, but I find certain groups drop a lot more then others,  so when I find a region that drop a lot of glyphs I sit there and farm it over and over,  you can get a lot this way just in 30 minutes you can get up to 30-40 glyphs

@Doreth: In passing I have seen some mobs to appear to drop more glyphs, but I didn't pay much attention to what they were. I want to say Nereids, but can't remember for sure. What is your list of mobs that drop glyphs?

I managed to get my lvl 5 healer to 50 provisioning on nothing but green recipes. Would that it were as easy to get enchanting up like that on my sorcerer main. =/

If anyone has glyphs they're not interested in selling or using, I would deeply appreciate a chance at them for deconstruction.

If it ain't fixed, break it until it is.

I found that the Enchanting Daily Writ was very valuable in leveling Enchanting. I also make use of deconstructing higher level glyphs, but the Writ was good IP. Crafting 1 Strong was getting 2000 IP and another 8000 at turn-in. There were a few Kuda as rewards and one of my Surveys got me 2.

It is slow, but better than leveling a horse.
