It's been a little under 6 months and this one has been a bit of a rough ride. Amazon is still learning the ropes when it comes to MMOs and how to successfully run them. This has caused an immense bleed of players similar to what we saw in the early days of Elder Scrolls Online. My hope is they take one out of the ESO or FFXIV playbook and find a way to turn this ship around.
In the meantime we are in a transitional period moving from one of the power zergs to finding our own way in the world as a smaller community. Where land was once an obtainable feat, now we are moving to more of a supportive role.
Just because we are not a landowner doesn't mean we can't participate in Wars or Invasions. In fact, with so many players being pulled away they have been begging for people to join the various wars and invasions. It just means you need to be early and communicate with the companies that are running them.
There are still plenty of opportunities to enjoy New World and now is a great time to get involved. Here's a look at some of the events that might interest you.
Community Events
We have a Friday Night Invasion Blitz where we sign up for every invasion we can and those who get picked head in those who don't continue with completing corruption events or harder quest lines. There are plenty of opportunities available, you will just have to take the initiative to seize them.
During our community roundtable, one of the largest desires was more Expedition events. Because of this our Monday at 3PM PT will be a Mass Expedition Event open to levels 20+. All who show up will be split into groups and we will bulk run Expeditions together.
On Sunday at 11AM PT join us for our End-Game Treasure Hunt as we rotate through the 3 major elite farms in Shattered Mountain and the elite farm in Ebonscale Reach. This event is designed to increase your expedition and fill your bags with materials and loot.
