Isn't Rackham A Carribbean Pirate?

By: Aynar

We took a trip to the roof of the galaxy using the only method that exists - a fleet carrier. We were not cool enough to hitchhike our way up there, even though it seems possible. (There is a well beaten tourist path with scattered fleet carriers along the way).

Each jump offered opportunities to scan star systems and watch our "home" milky way galaxy move further away while "other" galaxies, nebulas, and black holes become easier to view. Finally, we made it to the final outpost accessible to humans. A completely capitalistic enterprise that seems to share a name with 18th century pirate Jack Rackham. Hmmm... the owner must be a history buff.

As is common scuttlebutt, the most lucrative commodity to sell here is liquor. Each ton someone manages to porter over will bring a respectable profit of 50,000 credits. (Although I am not aware that anyone in the group did so). Exportable items are much less glamorous, but shipboard hydroponics systems will get a nice little boost from the discounted bio-waste available at the station.
