Blackriven - Great Norn In Tiny Package: Is It Poison? (Part 2)

By: Evamaria

Adventuring through Tyria, I have moved from Shiverpeak Mountains through parts of Ascalon and Kryta. I have found some riches and made some great friends at some of the many taverns. I never dreamed that in my adventures that I would find another Norn.

Especially not one as strikingly handsome as the warrior Xeyden. He was a recent edition to a guild my ancestors were associated with, one particular evening we by perchance were exploring and mapping Timberline Falls. It is best to run with a pack than alone, always good to have someone at your back.

I had adventured through a few very dangerous quests with this warrior before a few fellow guild-mates introduced us as we were cutting through ghosts in the crypts of Ascalon. However this had to be the first time I had adventured alone with a guild-mate, since I first left Hoelbrak I had been more of a lone wolf, stalking and hunting alone. Except of course the extremely dangerous expeditions into the Crypts, and assisting at the Caudecus Manor.

It was quite clear that this manly warrior was well experienced and could take many enemies. We worked well together; Xeyden was able to keep our enemies attention on himself as I stabbed them all in the back. I normally take offence to anyone especially a Norn man reaching out to me to help me stand if I fall in battle, as I am perfectly capable of taking care of myself. However gentlemanly chivalry is alive and well in this Norn; it was done with such non judgemental kindness that could have been to any of his allies but such an act has thrown me.

We spent the rest of the night adventuring before camping beside a beautiful cascade in the water cave south east of Okaninoo in the Timberline Falls region. During the night I decided to sneak away as my heart had started racing and I was sweating even in the coolness of the cave.

Oh Raven what is this feeling that is messing with my head? I have a vision of that evening every time I close my eyes to sleep. I am hesitant to see Xeyden again for I fear I may embarrass myself. I've never felt this way before! Raven grant me clarity, I may have to see a sage about this madness if it gets worse.
