Great Dungeon runs

You know what I love about GSCH? Well, many things, but today I was just in the mood for some dungeon runs. In the early afternoon, I put out word to the community and soon we were able to run two different dungeons. We did the first quickly, and the second took a bit longer. The whole party stayed together and worked through the difficulties. I realize that there are probably many good guilds out there, but the GSCH family just continues to make me pat myself on the back for joining up.

Thanks for the dungeon party guys,
Rev

We are Sparta! (a little movie reference)

So a group of GSCH decide to help SoR on the wvw reset last night. We wanted to make sure our own Border Lands was well claimed before we went out to harass the other servers. While we were getting things squared away . . . a call went out: "Massive attack on our garrison, please come to help!" When we arrived, there was a huge zerg of Borlis Pass storming through the gates. We were probably outnumbered at least 3-1.

I fell rather quickly in the first skirmish. Our Keep Lord had fallen and it was just a matter of time before the garrison was lost. As I was making my way back to the battle, I was surprised that the structure had not already fallen. Somehow, a group of SoR was still contesting the building just enough to keep it from flipping.

Because it was our garrison, we were able to reinforce our troops more quickly and do some repairs to our walls and gates. The enemy seemed to have two different zergs that kept shifting floors and attacking from different sides. Our keep Lord fell at least 10 times, but he kept returning to the battle before all was lost...

Patience is such a virtue, thanks Marcovius

One of the reasons that I joined GSCH is because of the values that are stressed in our family: unselfishness, generosity, and patience, for example. I was just led through the jumping puzzle Obsidian Sanctum, by our member Marcovius. I must have fallen and needed to start again a dozen times. He was so patient and helpful. I am really terrible at jumping puzzles, so I have not tried that one in over a year. He took much time to walk me through step-by-step and gave me some nice speed boosts along the way. That kind of fellowship and kindness is why I love this Gaiscioch family.

Thanks Marcovius, and all of you who make this group so much fun,
Rev

CoE pre and dungeon

Hey family,

Had a great time with other members today in an event, and a dungeon run. First Dee and I opened up CoE with just the two of us. We had some tough battles, but had great fun at each corner of the reactor for the events and the downing of the Inquest Champ in the middle. Then we put out the call for others to join in a CoE path 1 run. Our group of 3 warriors, one engineer and one mesmer made Subject Alpha into a puddle of goo.

We also got to watch each other die many times in our underwear as we tried to cross the laser field trap. There was great cooperation and much celebration as we took it to the Inquest, their golems, and Alpha. A soothing submarine ride took us to safety at the end our conquest. Thanks again to all who shared in an early morning battle and dungeon.

    Only a matter of time
With this event, I finally unlocked the warclaw. Now I can keep up with the pack. Also, the site says that there is a bonus to WvW experience next week. I hope we have lots of wvw events to take advantage. (Yes, I could run them myself, but I am too inexperienced in wvw to tag up...

Like the monster in the horror movie
Just when you thought Jordyee's Zerg was not going to get that Keep, they came back again, and again, and again until it fell. We had to wear down FC a bit at a time. I probably died 5 times in the battle. Once they were out of supply, it was just a matter of time...

    Ferguson's Crossing loses ground
It was great fun in our wvw assault team today. It began with some setbacks, thief groups ganking our camps and much of SoR colored green. But once we began to take it directly to FC in their own land, our map was once again turning a lovely shade of blue...

    Left GoM seeing red :)
So what do you do when your havoc group is a little larger than expected? Why take the enemy's whole map of course. Smitty's Sabres began with a simple Northern camp and then decided to do something very easy . . . the GoM garrison! They were afk or in the bathroom, so the garri fell without much resistance...

    Sometimes less is more
For our Monday GTA we had a smaller group than normal, probably less than 60. Even with lower numbers and trash talking trolls, Jessica got us through the Bounty, Challenge, Puzzle and Rush in plenty of time. It was a rambunctious group, but our leaders held it all together...

They could not keep the Keeps
We began in SoR borderlands only to see that our server was not in control of most of our own lands. That changed quickly. We took some supply camps and then moved mighty golems to reclaim our Garrison. After we dominated the Northern part of the map, we switched to other borderlands to catch them off guard...

    Very Helpful
Besides the obvious lessons in the basics of wvw (supply, repairs, upgrades, captures, and defends), our group also received a very helpful lesson in combo-fields. I have been playing GW2 since the beginning and I learned many secrets of combo-fields that I had never heard before...
