Hello guys. Not sure if this is the best forum to post this, but I suppose it isn't much more than fan-fiction at this point.
You remember when ArenaNet discussed during development that they were working on the so-called Extended Experience, a set of apps for smartphones and tablets that would enable players to interact with each other even outside the game? That never happened, uh?
Just as a design exercise (I work mostly as a web designer these days, but I find design for mobile intriguing) I'm doing the design for a fake version of the app, and would love to hear your feedback on this preliminar layout.
My idea here was to put some of the features I would like to see in such an app. I tried to stick with a flatter design as per usual on Android, but still retain the visual identity ArenaNet established on their website, game and other media. Icons are 100% placeholders at this stage.
Since this is my first design for an Android app, I wanted to hear what you guys think of the general feel, the coherence with the general feel of modern Android apps, and such. I posted it as a GIF just to make it easier, I can post static images later if anyone is interested. Additionally, I would love to hear what features you would like to see on the app, and I'll try my best to include them on my layout when possible.
Thanks a lot for any comments.
