I am trying to decide what to upgrade my PC with. As of now THIS is what I have. The RAM is 3 sticks of 4gig ram with off the wall Manufactures. No idea how i acquired it.

I am looking at the I5- 6600K, Gskill Ripshaw V 16GIG DDR4, and Asus z170-a 1151 Mobo.

Or this combo form newegg for about $100 more.

Figure this brings me to team Intel and allows for a better/newer CPU. Im really noobish at CPU's and more so on MOBO's so if you have better ideas please toss em my way.

If you're looking at primarily gaming, maybe even getting into streaming/video edits, then go with the newegg deal, if it's in your budget.  The I7 > I5 alone is worth the $100 extra and will have longer legs to help carry future games.

Agreed with Sekkerhund.  Also I know that friends have used this:  https://pcpartpicker.com/

I have personally never used it but I mostly just stalked the newegg page for weeks looking for good deals.

PC Part Picker is a nice tool, especially if you use it to shop better deals than what it pulls.  That's what I did, even wound up beating it's suggestions by $100 in rebates.

Cool.  I5 is bestbang4buck if you want to "just game", but the I7 allows you to game and do other stuff, simultaneously, without having to worry about bottle-necking resources.
