Hey guys,
It has been a while. I didn't feel ESO was worth the monthly fee so I ended up quitting. Between the cost and the time I gave it up. Now that I am done coaching football I have been looking at some new games and found one that I am loving! Life is Feudal. I have my own server and am looking for some good folks to join me. If anyone would like to try it out please let me know and I can get you the server details.
how does one join ya and where to download the game / server info etc.
It is purchased via steam. The game is in alpha stages right now so it is $35 and that includes all alpha and beta releases and your first character when the game launches.
My Server name is KGB and I will PM you the password. We are not interested in people logging on and grieving our players so I am cautious to put the password in a public place. I know no one from Gaiscioch would do that but I would rather be safe than sorry.
I bought it a few weeks ago and I loved it. I wont be around to play it until next week but I will definitely jump in and start moving some dirt and digging holes with ya lol
I had posted a little about it on the Saighdear forums... I have played around extensively with my own private setups, and would be glad to hop on every now and then to help build Villa Gaiscioch with ya. Feel free to PM me any details on here (Note, I am playing very casually just at the moment, the new job I have has been taking a physical toll on my body and thus playtime!)
I have been thinking of getting this game and hearing you post about it has pushed me to get it. I'll most likely pick it up this weekend.

I've had LiF for quite a while and ran a server with a friend of mine. He no longer plays, so I'd love to join your server.
The game is slow. You really have to want to simulate closer to real life than an MMO, and many people do not like that. Also, combat is all realistic hit based, so again many people have expressed dislike.
There are some things that aren't great, just as with any other game... but if you don't mind the above you will likely enjoy it.
Oh, and there are people who are trolling reviews about the company abandoning support for this game due to the fact that they are making an MMO, and this is somewhat a 'lite' version. The vast majority of reviews are positive, and the company has indicated continued support for this project (plus it get's you one character in the Buy to Play model they are claiming to go with for the MMO.) There was a large patch near the end of October, supporting them continuing to work on the project.
I looked at some of the reviews and saw that those had popped up, so figured a more thorough explanation would be of benefit.
It definitely isn't for everyone. It feels to me like an adult version of mine craft. To all those who have shown interest I have PMd you the server info. Our little village we have started is up by the lake. On the eastern side of the lake. You can't miss it now that we have some larger building made.

I have bags all over the place. Unless it is out in the open it is fair game. Help yourself . Please to not cut down trees at the farm. I have a set of elm trees planted on 2 sides of the village. Feel free to cut these down. The only rule is what you cut down you must take a sapling or 8 first and replant them. Also uproot the tree stumps please. I will be on in a bit. Excited to have some new folks on the server!

I spent a little time on, and made sure that my linked spot near the beach has a bag with apples in it.
It's a nice little village so far, and more hands will make it grow that much the better!

There is a patch today. Anything on the ground - not in a container WILL decay. I am hoping they made container space more realistic.
Any bags that are on the ground will likely be gone by tomorrow. I will add some containers in your house etc.
Looks like the server needs to update for the post-patch now. If I do lose the stuff lying around no big deal, just more stuff to pick up... and ensure I get higher quality stuffz!
And we have a ton of chests for storage now!
Oh, I started a list of my herbs for special crafting ingredient uses. I love that everybody's ingredient properties are different... just makes it interesting building lists of the good stuff for trading around!

I've gotten some terraforming work done, so we now have a few high quality land perks... so if you are going to start moving dirt or sand around make sure it isn't high quality!

They recently added large animals, so we have cattle in our stable, need to see about finding some of the other beasties to tame! Also, carts and wheeled transport are supposedly fixed as of this morning, so transporting large loads is now easier. *Gotta love when dev's regularly patch something like this! Just wish the servers auto-updated!*
I was just about to make a post about this, but looks like there's already one here so I'll just add on to this one. A few of us over at Harbingers of Light have been on a server for about a week or so now. I don't know if anyone is active on the server mentioned previously, but if you want to check out ours it's easy enough to find, just look for 'Pookha's Server' for the server name. It's an awesome game if anyone is on the fence, but it is sort of a niche thing. The PvP is made to be infrequent (hours for health to regen) but it is extremely fun when it does occur. Most of your time is spent very slowly building up your base. I'd recommend joining a group rather than going solo.
