This looks cool. Of course, the PTS is not UP yet with it today, but this article says it will be at some point. =) Going to have to definitely check this out and maybe in squeak an article in to the magazine somehow, since it is not NDA'd and people can live stream playing on PTS.
...silly orcs... Trix are for kids!
Hi Mr. Orc King. I do so hope you have enough lined up to keep me amused. :P
PTS offline is this them uploading orsinium WOOT!!!!
BIG patch downloading on PTS is this the DLC ? :)
yes.
so i found 3 forges. 1 you have to go into a torch and do a quest to get to (the last one, Morkuldin):
but... most importantly:
also mixed type recipes (eg: max + recovery):
some other things i noticed
someone requested a map:
I am really excited about this DLC. I went into Orsinium last night mainly to test the farming. LOOOVED it. But I am not going back in until launch. I want to experience that new and shiny feeling when it goes live.
Worked with Foviel yesterday on the one workstation area. It is NOT marked with a torch at all. He found another way into the cliff by accident. So you can go along the cliff to the door that WILL open and do the quest that way or it really has a starting point. =)
Morkuldin is associated to the village of Morkul on the coast west of where the Morkuldin Forge is located. It's just far enoug away to make you scratch your head about this setup. However, it is a fun little quest to reactivate the Morkuldin Forge and once you have it done you can come and go with ease to the crafting station.
NOTE: There is another fun quirk to this one. You can discover this particular one if you follow the road and end up way up on top of the cliff though you will have no entrance up there. =) However, up there you will find the orc lady who gives you a quest that gives you a recipe.
I like how they made this zone have some effort to complete things or have access to them. I know I only went into the first couple of areas of the public dungeon called Old Orsinium until my dinner took me away from Foviel and Selrina.
And like Foviel said your loot and nodes are based on the skill levels of the character - all dropped loot off mobs is the character level and each node type is based on your crafting level for that type. So I had two chars in there. Briseadh is VR16 with her smithing/clothier/woodworker all maxed so my nodes for these gave me a combo of VR9-14 mats or VR15-16 mats. I think it was round 25% for the VR15-16 and the rest were the next tier down. Weapons were a mix of both tiers too though higher chance of VR15-16 loot on the appropriate level toon.
Now the VR11 maxed alchemist got lots of rawhide from kills since her clothier is whatever books put her at. All her loot was VR11, but she was doing well fighting like a VR15ish toon. I know they are going to do further tweaking on the buffing you up to VR15 since some fun quirks have been found. I haven't played enough to notice these yet. =)
